Это синее полотнище с двумя косицами. Синий цвет объясняется как традиционный для тюрков и для государств-наследников монгольской империи Чингиз-хана. Кроме того Люкс-Вурм сообщает о том, что военные знамена татар представляли собой древки, украшенные конскими хвостами.
