العربية: جامع الكواز في البصرة أسسه الشيخ ساري بن الشيخ حسن الضاعن العبد السلام العباسي في ثلاثة أيام وبناه من القصب في حدود عام 1513م ثم بناهُ الشيخ عبدالقادر الكبير بن الشيخ ساري من الحجارة في عام 1523م وعندما توفى الشيخ محمد أمين الكواز عام 1546م دفن قربه، وفي عام 1620م بنى الشيخ عبد السلام الثاني العباسي له قبة، وتمتاز هذه القبة بروعتها الفنية وفي عام 1720م بنى الشيخ انس باش أعيان العباسي مئذنة بالزلاج ليس في البصرة ما يضاهيها كما جدد بناء القبة وكساها بالكاشي الملون.
في عام 1769 قام الشيخ درويش بن الشيخ أمين بتجديد قسم كبير من عمارة جامع الكواز أما المئذنة التي عليه فقد بنيت بالآجر المنحوت الملون بالقاشاني الأخضر والأزرق وفي محيط دائرة المنارة في الربع الأول منها مكتوب على حزام المئذنة على ارتفاع ثلاثة أرباعها أية الكرسي بخط جلي واضح ولكن بمرور الأيام تشققت الكتابة بعد سقوط القاشاني منها ولم يبق لها اثر أما طولها فيبلغ ستين قدما ومحيطها يقارب الأربعين قدما وعلى قمتها ميل نحاس وتضاهي هذه المنارة منارة جامع سوق الغزل في بغداد وكتبت عليها ايات من القران الكريم من القاشاني " أنما يريد الله ليذهب عنكم الرجس أهل البيت ويطهركم تطهيرا وكذلك الآية الكريمة (أن الله وملائكته يصلون على النبي ياايها الذين امنوا صلوا عليه وسلموا تسليما). تبلغ مساحته ألفين ومائة وعشرين مترا مربعا ويلاصق الجامع من جهته الشمالية مرقد الشيخ محمد أمين الكواز شيخ الطريقة الشاذلية المتوفى 1546م وفي ركنه الجنوبي مئذنة المنارة، أما حرم الجامع الذي تقام فيه الصلاة فيتسع لأكثر من خمس مائة مصل ويتسع خارجه لأكثر من ذلك وعند شمالي الجامع في منحرف باب قبة الشيخ محمد أمين الكواز غرفة تسمى غرفة السبعة الذين درسوا وتعلموا على يد الولي المشار إليه وهم من أبناء أسرة آل باش أعيان العباسية البصرية |
