== Minor Edits == | |||
Looking at your list of contributions, I notice that you mark all your edits as minor edits. This you should only do if the edit you make has no impact on the content of the article, like if you make changes to punctuation or spelling, or correct a broken link syntax. But many of your edits make content changes, and you really should not call them minor edits, as other users may get the (hopefully mistaken) impression that you want to camouflage substantial POV edits in this way. Also, to increase the longevity of your edits, you should familiarize yourself with the conventions relating to the spaces around English punctuation marks. English commas always have a space after the comma (but never before the comma). Greetings, ] (]) 08:44, 8 May 2019 (UTC) | |||

:Your last edit had an explanation in the edit summary line, which is very good! It makes clear that you believe that you can make changes to Misplaced Pages because you have knowledge that is not available in published sources. All changes you make to Misplaced Pages need to be supported by reliable published sources, and you need to include the source with your change. If you cannot provide such a source, you are not allowed to make that change. It happened to me several times that I knew some facts to be different to what is said on Misplaced Pages, but I don't have a source to support my view, so I leave the information in Misplaced Pages as it stands. Please read up on the rules of Misplaced Pages before you engage in any further editing, or you will have a lot more frustrating experiences like this - responsible editors will have to revert your edits again and again, and eventually you will be blocked. ArbCom 2019 election voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add |

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Ethiopia, you may be blocked from editing. The one source you used was a draft, not the Constitution itself. I don't think you understand the word "populous" either. Doug Weller talk 11:27, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
3rr
Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Help me correct the grammer
I understand and write English with difficulty. As you are activly engaging in Hachalu Hundessa article, I wanted to add the other side of the story. There is claim of targeted attack on minority in Hachalu riot but according to Oromia Police Commisioner there werenot targated attack and overwhelming majority murdered were Oromo not the minority ethnic.
I ask you favour to check the following sentence for grammer and structure to put in the following paragraph.
The Oromia Police Commissioner denied targeted attack on minority and reported 114 of 167 civilian murdered were Oromos.
To go with this paragraph.
Response
At 9 a.m., 30 June 2020, the internet was cut across much of Ethiopia, a measure found by telecoms watchdog NetBlocks to be consistent with previous national internet shutdowns imposed by the government during unrest. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed expressed his condolences to Hundessa's family, saying that Hachalu's assassins intended not to kill him alone but "through him to kill Ethiopia", while also urging calm amid growing unrest. Media owner and activist Jawar Mohammed responded to Hundessa's death on Facebook, saying "They did not just kill Hachalu. They shot at the heart of the Oromo Nation, once again!!...You can kill us, all of us, you can never ever stop us!! NEVER!!". Ethiopians on social media, including the country's ambassador to Washington, expressed their shock at the killing of the popular musician.. On Oromia Media Network (OMN), the caller literary says “Oromo should be organized, do not sit home do nothing and anyone against Oromo should take measure”. Member of Amhara ethnic groups accused media outlets of actively instigating the attacks live and instructing the attackers and broadcast a series of inflammatory hate-filled messages, including calls to lock and burn the homes of Amhara people but no supporting evidence . The Oromia Police Commissioner denied targeted attack on minority and reported 114 of 167 civilian murdered were Oromos.

Abiy Ahmed
According to List of heads of government of Ethiopia, Abiy ranked 10th Prime Minister of Ethiopia, regardless of acting ministers. The related former Prime Ministers also ranked that way. The 4th is when The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has been established in 1995. The Supermind (talk) 15:02, 17 September 2020 (UTC)

Languages of Africa
You added Oromo to the list of languages with "official status" in their country. In what ways does Oromo have official status? Does it have official status at the national level? Many, many Ethiopian languages have official status in their local areas, e.g. Kafa, Sidama, Wolaytta, Adare, etc. Does the Oromo language have a more official status than these others? Pete unseth (talk) 20:45, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
Oromo serves as one of the official working languages of Ethiopia and is also the working language of several of the states within the Ethiopian federal system including Oromia, Harari and Dire Dawa regional states and of the Oromia Zone in the Amhara Region. It is a language of primary education in Oromia, Harari, Dire Dawa, Benishangul-Gumuz and Addis Ababa and of the Oromia Zone in the Amhara Region. It is used as an internet language for federal websites along with Tigrinya. MfactDr (talk) 00:58, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

After our little run-in a few months ago, I was actually quite happy with your subsequent editing of Misplaced Pages, as you have made a good number of constructive edits, but over the last few days I observe that you fall back into your old habit of making Misplaced Pages the place to fight out your Oromo nationalist agenda. Let it be known that you are under observation, and if you give me the impression that once more you want to turn into something it is not, I will take steps to call you to order. This is the first warning. Remember that all edits need to be free of POV, and to ensure that, they need to come with the best possible references. Landroving Linguist (talk) 07:47, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
Dear Landroving Linguist, I don’t know which page you are referring to but I guess you talk about plain flag. I have nothing to add on neither it nor my opinion. its publicly available information. its Aljazeera reported as “the plain green, yellow and red indicated imperial-era flag of Amhara nationalisim”. Please have look the report. I believe Aljazeera is international media and report from everywhere at first hand evidence.if you find anything with POV let me Know. Thanks, MfactDr (talk) 08:43, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I talk about the flag, and you should know quite well that a half sentence in a current war news report that deals with different matters (and not specifically with the history of ethnic banners in Ethiopia) cannot be used as a reliable source to make the claim that you promote by spreading this flag across a number of articles. Interestingly, the picture shown in that article could just as well be the official Ethiopian federal flag, as the place of the emblem is not visible - and that federal flag is exactly what you'd expect to find at a border crossing to Eritrea, and it was there even when Tigray was controlled by the TPLF. Find an academic source that specifically addresses the choice of flags, or leave this out of the encyclopaedia. As you have seen on the Amhara Region talk page, this claim is politically contentious and therefore needs much better sourcing. The fact that you insist on reinserting it anyway, using the same lame source, is evidence for me that you are back to your previous Oromo natitionalist POV edit warring habits. This is not tolerated. BTW, I'm not picking on you for being Oromo - I have the same kind of discussions with editors spreading Amhara or Somali or any other kind of nationalism on Misplaced Pages pages relating to Ethiopia, as this is a problem that is currently by no means restricted to Oromo editors. Landroving Linguist (talk) 10:01, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in the Horn of Africa (defined as including Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and adjoining areas if involved in related disputes). Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Misplaced Pages's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

2016 Ethiopian protests
The dominant name in for this event is the "2016 Ethiopian protests," this novel name you have concocted makes it seem like only Oromo people had a hand in the event. There was a a well documented sizable Amhara support for the protests as well, it also included support from other Ethiopians but namely Oromos and Amharas, do not erase documented Amhara opposition against the then government and support for the protests. Cease and desist this vandalism and historical revisionism of erasing Amhara and other Ethiopian contribution to ousting the Tigray People's Liberation Front from power specifically related to this event. Your title of 2016 Ethiopia’s nationwide Oromo protests was deliberately made to make the false argument that only Oromos were involved, which is incorrect, and I have also witnessed User:MfactDr's deletion of sourced material from the article specifically those that relate to Amhara contributions to the protests. Hey! I have critical about Tigrayans people. Why are you preventing us from mixing this article in Eritrea Tigrayans? They have long been one ethnic group.
