I've had enough of this. It seems abundantly clear to me now that Misplaced Pages, despite its noble objective, doesn't work. There are too many people where whose mission is not to create an encyclopedia of verifiable information. Their mission is to insert what they believe to be truth with no regard for any requirements such as verifiability and no originial research. They work by repeating the same claims in 1-2 line posts, ignoring all calls for reliable sources (because they have none).
{{notice|Here's what's going to happen:
*I'm taking AN, AN/I, RFAR and all other boards off my watchlist. I'm also taking all controversial BLPs off my watchlist as well as Jimbo's talk page.
*I'll no longer be taking part in AfD discussions unless they relate to articles concerning Denmark, ''narrowly interpreted''. I'll restrict myself to making one comment per AfD.
*I'm withdrawing from all discussions related to economics, ''broadly interpreted''.
*I'll focus on articles related to higher education in Denmark as they are in a poor state and need improvement.

The thing is though, unlike the hordes of POV pushers here I actually have a professional life outside Misplaced Pages. I don't ''need'' Misplaced Pages. It's not the center of my universe. I didn't join Misplaced Pages to push any opinion or to prove myself. I don't need to. Just because you manage to get something to stick in an article here doesn't make it so. What matters is what is found in reliable sources. If you can't understand that then frankly I pity you because you fail to understand the difference between winning at Internet posting (being a Wikipedian) and having sufficient knowledge about a subject to have a professional career or at least a relevant educational background.
If, despite these efforts, you came here to complain about your POV not being sufficiently represented or to template me for vandalism when I'm enforcing policy please don't. It upsets me far more than it helps. Use the article talk page to state your opinion and I'll most likely just walk away from that article rather than bother to get into a fight with you. You don't need to create armies of sockpuppets to achieve that and you don't need to bait me on my talk page. A simple statement on the article talk page declaring your intentions will be enough. You may also read my essay ] to understand why I probably won't be interested in a debate with you. Thanks.}}

Thankyou for notifying me. Just FYI, it's usually considered good form to notify a closing admin of your objections ''before'' taking these things to DRV, I would have been quite happy to relist or have a neutral third party review the decision. In fact, the DRV instructions clearly state that "Deletion Review is to be used where someone is unable to resolve the issue in discussion with the administrator (or other editor) in question. This should be attempted first – courteously invite the admin to take a second look". I'm not particularly upset about this, but I would recommend trying a friendly discussion first next time, it generally results in a whole lot less bother and mess for everyone, including you. Hi there, I happened to come upon the entry on Christian II. You're absolutely right it fumes with old 19th century nationalism, this is the way it used to be described in old Swedish schoolbooks and while few people would deny he was ruthless, the tone of the Christian II article is like a knight novel and does not represent any kind of modern approach to those events. I'll try to offer something better. I have some acquaintance with the historical field - my mother's a historian & archivist so I've grown up in touch with that community - and I know where to find solid sources, even in English, plus I've always been interested in the age. ] 22:16, 26 November 2008 (CET)

Hi,<br>
:Hi! Thanks, I had almost forgotten about that article! Your insight would be most appreciated. I saw the problem but I really didn't know how to fix it and Valentinian sadly left Misplaced Pages. There aren't that many Scandinavians here and those who are here don't frequent these articles on a regular basis. Let me know if you need any help but I think the issue is best dealt with by someone who knows where to look for proper sources. I'm sure the article can be improved and frankly I think the tone in the article was most likely due to bad sourcing and copying of old public domain material rather than any intentional attempt to violate NPOV. I have no problem with the article documenting how the Stockholm Bloodbath affected the relationship between Denmark and Sweden, and hence the perception of Christian II as a tyrant, but it really should do so in a more neutral way. Obviously he was thought of as a tyrant and frankly I don't blame those who considered him as such but that shouldn't be the focus of the entire article. ] (]) 21:32, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

:Hi! I just read the whole thing and to be honest I don't think there's much I can do here. It looks like Casliber is going to be an arb from January which is a good thing. If Merridew really does stay away from you as promised and the conditions are enforced through the ArbCom and not depending on how Moreschi feels about it then I think you're fighting a lost battle to keep him away from EnWiki completely. Pixelface has already said pretty much what I would have said so I'd just be repeating him anyway. Casliber looks like he understands the issue with Moreschi so hopefully there won't be any problems. If it turns out that Moreschi is not being fair to you or not enforcing the injunction against Merridew seeking contact with you in any way then I'll be happy to back you up but unfortunately as it looks now I think I'd be hurting your chances of a working arrangement more that improving them by commenting. I think you have a better chance getting Moreschi removed as mentor/enforcer if he doesn't comply with the arbs decision than you do stopping this completely. Like I said, if it doesn't work out then I'll be happy to help you. ] (]) 20:13, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your support of Luke! Much appreciated. I actually don't know him well at all-- I supported initially based on his answers, but I've became more of an advocate when I saw he's was being treated pretty unfairly by some folks.

The thing is though, unlike the hordes of POV pushers here I actually have a professional life outside Misplaced Pages. I don't need Misplaced Pages. It's not the center of my universe. I didn't join Misplaced Pages to push any opinion or to prove myself. I don't need to. Just because you manage to get something to stick in an article here doesn't make it so. What matters is what is found in reliable sources. The above polemic about "verifibabiity and no original research" is laughable considering this substantial addition of unsourced personal opinion to an article. You don't need Misplaced Pages?? Misplaced Pages doesn't need you. Sundayclose (talk) 15:50, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:University of Copenhagen logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 03:35, 25 December 2010 (UTC)
