==Criticism==

Wrong Planet has faced criticism over the fact that two of its members have gone on killing rampages after posting threats on the forum, due to which the site is currently facing a lawsuit. Its primary Administrator, Alex Plank, has also faced criticism over his ethics after posting the former address and phone number of a banned member on the website and encouraging other members to "call away" in retaliation. Alex Plank has been accused of encouraging hostility against Republicans and other users on the Wrong Planet forums that espouse conservative views.

Wrong Planet (sometimes referred to by its URL, WrongPlanet.net) is controversial online forum for individuals with Asperger's Syndrome. The site was started in 2004 by Dan Grover and Alex Plank and includes a chatroom, a large forum, a dating part, and many articles describing how to deal with daily issues.

After being featured on Slashdot for an interview with Bram Cohen, Wrong Planet quickly began to grow increasingly larger. The success of Wrong Planet's Cohen interview spurred the site to produce a series of interviews with various well known figures in the Autism community such as author Temple Grandin and movie producer Joey Travolta.

In 2005, an incident involving a member of the site, William Freund, gave Wrong Planet national mainstream publicity after being mentioned on Fox News and programs such as Good Morning America. Since that time, Wrong Planet has frequently been referenced by the mainstream media in stories about Asperger's Syndrome and has gained more than 9,000 registered members since its creation two years ago.

Wrong Planet's logo consists of the words WrongPlanet.net in blue and green. The "o" in the logo is a globe and an alien sits on the "e" in "net."
