I am trying to record some peculiar edit summaries, and to begin with I have started some specimen from User:Dbachmann's edit summaries - this shall give me many examples (of wikipedia-trivia) for my forthcoming book: . --Bhadani (talk) 18:57, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

Some examples of edit summary:

1. huh

   huh was the edit summary. Was it foolish or funny?

2. just a little bit tongue-in-cheek, no?

   Behind the innocuous looking summary is veiled something different

3. Forgetting to write edit summary for important issues.

   eccentric talk is better than eccentric content - I could not help if I was reminded of the greatest bastard of human history though there are many smaller ones too.

Sometimes, I used to get worried about the editors physical or mental state after spotting such edits. However, Now I understand that some wikipedians have more rights than the others.

Main India article

Dear Bhadani...Saw some of your contributions...am kind of new...but I still feel that the Main India article is written from a British/Western point of view. From an Indian point of view, we always see the UK/PT/FR as foreigners and occupiers. I thus feel that we should adopt another POV in which we denigrate the British view and put more emphasis on the history of India before the British came...so that India is continuous since Indus Valley Civilization and not overnight from 1947...I already had some discussion with users IndianStar, NobleEagle, Chanakyathegreat...and they agree, however, the British writer Fowler always negates all these opinions and puts in the British POV with the guise of Encyclopaedia Britannica references. I thus urge you to refurbish the India main paragraph and remove even the word British and put more emphasis on Indus Valley Civilization...and India's first emperor Ashoka...and maintain the continuity since 5000 years. The British maybe just referred to as foreign occupiers. I would also suggest that for serious work and discussion, one should register and do some edits so that community of wikipedians may form an opinion about the contents created by that particular editor.
