== History == |

I joined Misplaced Pages on 15 January 2016 to edit the aforementioned Jayski page. After that, I started updating NFL players pages for free agency. Early on, ] was one of my most valued mentors. However, as spring came along, I leaned more towards NASCAR articles, as NASCAR is my favorite sport. Around this time, I would like to thank ] and ] for leading by example. ] has been a great Wikipedian to look up to. During the summer, I realized just how awesome ] is. As the months ticked by, I started to renovate articles of sportspeople from championship teams of the Milwaukee Bucks and Green Bay Packers, but as NASCAR season started I was again drawn to that. Later on, I started to focus on making articles more in depth in the style of ]. In 2018, I focused more on the ] and both ], adding results tables to a lot of driver pages and keeping up most ARCA-related pages; I'm happy to say that now there's about a three-person informal WikiProject related to the series. |

=== What I Focus On === |

To borrow a term from ], I like to think of myself as a one-man WikiProject, editing whatever I feel like needs improvement. I have done some work on articles pertaining to athletes who were notable before Misplaced Pages was created. If I see a NASCAR driver who does not have a page go full-time, I'll do that. Some other times, my NASCAR work tends to be creating pages of up-and-coming lower series drivers. No matter what I may say, however, you may find my recent contributions filled with topics that have just caught my whim, including topics that have relevancy to my life. I have done some work with high schools in the state of Wisconsin, especially detailing fine arts sections. I wouldn't call myself a vandalism fighter, but as time constraints loom and the watchlist grows larger, it sometimes constitutes the best use of my time spent on Misplaced Pages. I have also picked up an affinity for the ] and update many pages related to that league. |

* Yes, IPs are human, so yes, you should treat them with decency. Yes, they also can be not knowledgeable, so sometimes you can reprimand them. Yes, they are also sometimes blatant vandals, so sometimes you can block them and not feel guilty. |

* Some editors believe some areas of the encyclopedia are "more important" than others. My viewpoint is that if the notability guidelines call for it, it isn't less important than anything else. |

* Edit counts, while useful as an overall indicator, can be misleading both in the case of many superfluous edits or in the case of a few large edits. |

* If you don't know what you're doing, don't make controversial changes. |
|
|
* Empty userpages are nice at first glance, but edit histories reveal all. |

* If I place a page improvement tag on a page you created, don't take it personally. I am just trying to improve the encyclopedia by letting you and other editors know that the page requires some attention. |
