Hi there, I noticed a user has made a large number of disruptive edits but they don't appear to be intentional vandalism. Who would I go to to report this to be mass undo'd? |

This is the user, who has changed the word 'season' to 'series' on many pages. https://en.wikipedia.org/search/?title=Special:Contributions/113.210.60.97&target=113.210.60.97&dir=prev&offset=20231027041137 ] (]) 09:38, 28 October 2023 (UTC) |

::Do I need to get any sort of training? ] (]) 19:25, 11 August 2024 (UTC) |
:::No formal training is required, but we have lot of resources linked here: ] and also at the ] to understand what specifically ] and also on common ] that can help you spot vandalism, such as RedWarn and Twinkle to name two of the most popular tools to help with things such as ] and RedWarn being able to help group them with likely problematic edits. ] (]) 19:38, 11 August 2024 (UTC) |

::::Last question, how do I join “wiki projects” and how do I join other roles such as page reviewer, rollbacker, check user, ect.. ] (]) 19:44, 11 August 2024 (UTC) |
:::::Most of them have a membership list that you can add yourself, which is usually linked at the frontpage of the wikiproject and some you join by simply placing a banner such as the CVU one on your userpage. |
:::::As for other more advanced roles, such as ] or ], again all of those typically have the instructions on those respective pages, many of which will require you to first gain more experience in editing on Misplaced Pages and then if the permission is relevant for the type of editing you decided interests you, you can request them at ], which also has a listing of many common advanced permissions and the high level requirements. |
:::::Note that you don't necessarily need many advanced permissions to do a lot of useful things on Misplaced Pages, it just depends what area of editing sounds interesting to you. |
:::::In general, if you want to learn more and have more questions, you can check out the ], which serves as a forum for newcomers to ask questions on any topic around editing on Misplaced Pages. I also just posted a ] on your User talk page with more helpful links to help you get started. Happy editing. ] (]) 21:16, 11 August 2024 (UTC) |
::::Also want to point out that another important area of vandalism to look for is subtle/undetected vandalism, which can stick around much longer than new changes. I've written some about it but even just searching questionable words/phrases can turn a lot up. ] (]) 05:49, 16 August 2024 (UTC) |

== Zombo getting targeted == |

Hello! I just caught word from a user post on the Brazil Wikiproject that several unregistered IP users are making minor vandalization edits to Brazilian population data and I'm not sure how to handle this. Some of these users include ], ], ], and ] (The rest can be seen in the ]). Why don't these kinds of edits get caught by the anti-vandalism systems we have in place? Also, how can i go I about warning these users and/or preventing them from continuing to vandalize if they continue? ] (]) 23:39, 11 November 2023 (UTC) |

I don't log in to Misplaced Pages frequently enough to do this justice, so I thought I'd throw this out there in case someone else cares to. ] appears to be getting targeted by an IP-address vandal for "silly" (and tasteless/offensive, IMO) vandalism. Multiple edits have needed to be reverted in the past month. The last incident had "revert obvious vandalism" as the edit summary, muddying the water. |
