It all started with MC. Magic, A Disc Jokey from Phoenix, AZ. MC. Magic formed his record label Nasty Boy Records in 1991 and soon released his album "Dont Worry" in 1995, including the hit "lost in Love" A hip-hop ballad song. The album got recognition locally, and this opened the doors to a whole new project, Nasty Boy Klique. NBK began with six members Magic, DOS, Ziggy, Sly, Mischief (Magic's 10 year old son) and Bookie. Bookie soon left the group to pursue a solo project before NBK became successful. On one of there early singles, Down for yours, the late Roger Troutman, was scheduled to record with them, with the talk box, and once completed, the track was a hit. This was included in the album "The First Chapter" along with the hit "AZ side" which sampled Madonna's hit "Everybody". In 1998, the song "Lost in Love" By MC. Magic was getting radio play in california, and was heard by John Lopez, Owner of Upstair Records, and he immediately requested to see the artist, and he did, and NBK signed with Upstair Records and released there sophomore album "Tha Second Coming" including the hit by MC.
