I read that a Christian priest started a project of searching for bullets, since the Germans had a policy of 1 bullet per Jew, and so was able to determine in various small and unrecorded locations throughout Poland where and how many Jews were murdered. :Even if in the context of centuries of russification policies from Moscow people have become accustomed to not see entire countries and cultures colonized, bad practice does not turn into good practice. Misplaced Pages can honor politically independent states and not call places after occupyiers and colonialists, especially when political realities have long changed. Ukrainian is an independent country for over 30 years and the official language of Ukraine is Ukrainian. :He doesn't appear to have been directly involved with the Babi Yar massacre, other than praising it in the press after the fact. I don't think a "Legacy" section would be a good fit for this. Babi Yar Park in Denver, Colorado, was dedicated in October, 1963, as a memorial to the massacred Jews and others at Babyn Yar ravine in Kiev, Ukraine, beginning on Yom Kippur in 1941.
