] is weird and confusing.
I've reverted an that added "This region is sometimes referred to as the 'Adria region', which includes all countries of the former Yugoslavia plus Albania, or otherwise excludes Slovenia as well, and is usually utilised in the bussiness and commercial spheres", which cited a sprinkling of primary sources using that term. What such a claim would require is good secondary sources, which establish that this term is sometimes used and in which contexts. ] (]) 07:57, 19 June 2023 (UTC)

Article notes that Boris III "saved" the Jews. According to the[REDACTED] article on Boris III, it's a bit more complicated than that. Jews were denied citizenship in Bulgaria and the nation joined the Axis powers (the original text in this article said Boris III "resisted Hitler" but when you decide to join the Axis powers...) Jews in occupied lands were sent to the Nazi camps while the Bulgarian Jews proper were sent to forced labor camps. I edited the article to just state what happened, without using words to define the morality of the action. ] (]) 01:46, 13 July 2023 (UTC)

Urbanization/List of largest cities

At least for Tekirdag, the list of largest cities in this article lists the population of the whole Tekirdag province as the population of the city of Tekirdag (which only encompasses a small part of the province). Might this be true for other (Turkish?) cities on the list, too? PragmaFisch (talk) 11:28, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

Link to page for Neologism

Hi all, just wanted to point out that this page could link to the Misplaced Pages article for Neologism under the "Western Balkans" section. I was going to make the edit myself but saw this page was protected, so if someone with access wants to link it I think that would help enrich the article. Also, apologies in advance if I'm making a Misplaced Pages faux pas, I don't edit much. Thanks! Seanmorr122 (talk) 22:24, 27 December 2024 (UTC)

Is the Balkans technically a peninsula?

Is the Balkans still considered to be a peninsula? Some people said that it does not meet the definition of peninsula, but what is the exact definition of peninsula anyway?

If the Balkans is not a peninsula, then Mainland Southeast Asia, the Horn of Africa, and Alaska are probably not peninsulas too. Aren't they?

Geography is weird and confusing.

Not done: That figure is for the population of European Turkey only, as that is the region of Turkey that forms part of the Balkans. Remsense ‥  10:28, 11 January 2025 (UTC)
