After the World Cup, the stadium’s flexible configuration means it will serve as a versatile and dynamic multipurpose entertainment venue. The design allows for the removal of the upper tier for legacy purposes, leaving a 25,000-capacity venue. Curtains, partitions, and the removable football pitch will allow the facility to host leading esports events, exhibitions, concerts, and conferences, as well as major sports tournaments. <ref>{{Cite web |title=Get free Access 100,000+ Middle East & North Africa construction projects |url=https://www.bncnetwork.net/project/Qiddiya-Coast-Stadium-North-of-Jeddah/MzMxOTg2#:~:text=Located%20on%20Jeddah's%20northern%20Red,capacity%20will%20decrease%20to%2025,000. |access-date=2024-12-31 |website=www.bncnetwork.net |language=en}}</ref> | |||

Construction
Construction on the stadium began in February of 2024 and its opening will take place in 2027. In July 2022, JCDC announced that the stadium will be designed by GMP and urban development consultants Khatib and Alami. In January 2024, the contract to construct the stadium was awarded to Beijing-based China Railway Construction Corporation and SAMA contracting.
It will be located in the Jeddah historical district of Al-Balad. With its open spaces, green parks, world-class pitch, and a dynamic platform that brings together international events, the stadium will promote a healthier and more active lifestyle in the city’s community. The stadium is set to be one of four major landmarks of the Jeddah Central Project, the other three being a Museum, an Opera House, and an Oceanarium.
Post-2034
Following the World Cup, the stadium will serve as the home for two professional football clubs and will continue to host a diverse array of sporting events. Its versatile design and flexible configuration make it an ideal venue for various purposes, including conferences, exhibitions, concerts, and other non-football-related events.
