Greetings!
My name is Ryan, and it's my pleasure to welcome you, Kyaa the Catlord, to Misplaced Pages! First of all, I'd like to thank you for joining the project, and contributing to articles and discussion. I hope you can continue to take part in Misplaced Pages, because we need more valuable editors like yourself.
If you are new and need some assistance, here are some great links to check out:
- The five pillars of Misplaced Pages are the primary goals and most important rules that we follow.
- These help pages are important if you'd like to learn more about specific processes.
- The tutorial is a hands-on approach to learning all about editing.
- For a "crash course" in editing, head on over to Redwolf24's Bootcamp!
- Writing a great article is a noble accomplishment. An article you start might end up on the Main Page!
- The Manual of style is an in-depth group of pages that will teach you how to make articles look their very best.
I hope you enjoy editing here, and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, find out where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Before I go, here's one more tip. When you post on talk pages, be sure to sign your name and the date by typing four tildes: ~~~~. That automatically generates your username and the date. Again, welcome, and happy editing! --Merovingian 10:27, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

As an Englishman, I greatly admire unflappable grace under pressure. Your resilience while under attack from an iniquitous rat's nest of sockpuppeting trolls was truly inspiring. Keep up the good work! Cheers, Moreschi 22:14, 5 March 2007 (UTC) |

ha, i actually did lol after that one. :) --kizzle 20:26, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Reverting move closure
Please do not attempt to revert an administrator's closure of a move proposal. This discussion was held during the normal time for move proposals and the outcome was no move. Húsönd 01:54, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- The discussion is no longer active. It has been active for a 5-day period, after which it can be closed at any time by an administrator. No consensus will ever be reached here. Húsönd 01:57, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- The result of the poll was no move, please do not persist with new polls, they're not going to change anything. And please observe WP:CIVIL. Thank you.--Húsönd 02:07, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- What do you mean with reverting the first move? --Húsönd 02:20, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- The page was moved unilaterally previously, the original pages' history was lost, etc. See
- That's okay, I didn't think you were being too uncivil anyway, just wanted to make sure that tempers wouldn't flare. Unilateral moves are always troublesome. If this article was moved once before, the article should've been moved back and the user who attempted the first move be noticed that that was not an uncontroversial move and that his/her proposal would have to be taken to WP:RM. However, leaving the article in the new destination and making a proposal to move back somehow validates the current version and it'll be harder now for the article to be brought back if there's many users who would oppose that. Perhaps now it's time to continue the discussion about this (but not in a poll), and if some consensus is reached then attempt a new move proposal in a few months. I hope you got anything out of this. :-/ Regards, Húsönd 02:46, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: Strawberry Panic! help
As you may know, the article is currently going through a peer review and once the PR is done, I'm going to nominate it for FA. Since you helped improve the article last summer, I was wondering if you'd like to help me bring it to FA.--十八 10:52, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Edit warring
Err...why are you edit-warring while lecturing other people about edit warring? If you want to insert an anti-science POV into the article, feel free, but don't lecture people while inserting that nonsense. Guettarda 04:42, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- Guettarda, you are setting up very easy straw men arguing we are against the science. I suggest you stop with such fallacious arguments. Adding references to statements—common practice—isn't really a scientific debate. Attributing statements to sources rather than synthesized generalizations is not a scientific question, but rather a policy question. In all, I agree—stop edit warring. ~ UBeR 04:49, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- Edit war, shmedit war. Thanks for sticking up for me on the Talk:Global warming page. And for what it's worth, you were right. :) Jake 04:46, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the mess
Thanks for fixing the mess in Talk:Multinational force in Iraq, which the history shows that I caused. I had been editing the section on Turkey at the bottom of the page when a power failure took my computer down. When the computer came back up I restarted Firefox and choose the "Restore previous sessions" startup option. The browser tab in which I had edited the page came back up with a full article edit instead of the section edit that I had been doing. The part I had been editing looked OK and presuming that the rest was OK too, I saved the edit. In future, I'll try to check the changes before saving. -- Boracay Bill 01:52, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Re: Nymphet (manga)
This really is looking bad now. If ANN can have this much pull on manga licenses, I fear for the future, especially regarding anime licensed. Hopefully this doesn't mean the complete end of it, because maybe another company will license it, if that is even possible. If SSE licensed it, but chose to not release it, does this mean it can never be released in English? I must say, I too am very surprised at ANN's push in the anime community, even if that website is one of the largest and well-known anime websites on the net.--十八 06:33, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- The Strawberry line is definately something I am most worried about. I've already bought the first two volumes of Kashimashi and am geared to pre-order the Strawberry Panic! light novels and manga when they are released. I may also check out some of the other titles on the yuri line (just because I actually do like yuri titles). After this, I wonder if the Nymphet anime will someday gets licesnsed. If it does, then dare I saw that SSE will finally release the manga if that day comes.--十八 07:36, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
re: Account deletion (Strikethrough '07) on the Livejournal Article
Thank you for not taking my reversion as personally as I took your deletion. Also, thank you for pointing out the specifics that you have taken issue with. I (and hopefully others) will attempt to find evidence to bolster the OR into umm... R? :) WookMuff 10:31, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

re: question
Mind if I ask, out of curiosity, why was the 'shojo' tag removed from the simoun demographic in the first place? Sakura rin24 14:22, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
That's pretty true. Partially why,I reverted my own edits. Though personally, it's nice it reaches a mixed audience. Thanks for the explanation! Sakura rin24 14:38, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Yes, I felt the same too. After the music stopped and Neviru & Aeru faded away coupled in with the nostalgia of what everything once was, enhanced by the mural just left me feeling hollow at the end. Sakura rin24 18:19, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Do you mind if I asked you another question? - "Greetings!

I'm going to presume it's a welcome message of sorts from perhaps a mentor? I noticed it on a couple of editors' talkpages. Could you tell me what is it about? Sakura rin24 18:25, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey.. Sorry, it's been awhile but thank you for explaining to me on that one. :) Sakura rin24 19:33, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Copyright, use of clips.
I've never been challenged on WP over copyright before, but I find: "Misplaced Pages articles may also include quotations, images, or other media under the U.S. Copyright law "fair use" doctrine in accordance with our guidelines for non-free content" and "Inclusion of brief attributed quotations of copyrighted text, used to illustrate a point, establish context, or attribute a point of view or idea is acceptable under "fair use"." Other on-line systems allow "500 words" or "2 to 3 paragraphs" or 1/10th of the work (whichever is the lesser). My clip is 72 words. PalestineRemembered 18:19, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- I don't understand your problem. As I said in the edit summary, I put back old content to act as a place marker. I've now replaced the tired content (just 78 words clipped direct from the report) and people can now see the new version here. I trust the dramatically new version is acceptable to you. PalestineRemembered 21:32, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- The project needs sticklers too. PalestineRemembered 21:39, 7 August 2007 (UTC) PS - the project also needs people who clean up references, as you've done. Regards. PalestineRemembered 21:42, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
Ooops! My Mistake!
Regarding the LiveJournal revert, I clicked the diff link for the wrong article. My error, not Twinkles. Many apologies. Xdenizen 22:37, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
- Ja. I just had a look at the LJ article page revision with the contentious link and then a look at the FireFox News webpage. I made a brief comment over at WP:RS talk. Xdenizen 22:48, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
PR AV/I case
you've recently opened an offtopic on my AV/I case, making some usage of the word "Kudos" to describe the person i'm reporting. i see that the offtopic issue is not yet resolved, so i'm left to ponder how your character report might spoil my complaint. Jaakobou 10:23, 9 August 2007 (UTC) p.s. i'm watching the page, so i'd prefer you reply here.
- i've just noticed this comment and considering my AV/I case was not really addressed to, i'm more than willing to re-open it from the archive of the WP:ANI. keep me posted. Jaakobou 14:47, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
Your edits to Battle of Jenin
Hi Kyaa the Catlord,
I had a hard time trying to understand the rationale of this sequence of edits you made to the Battle of Jenin article: , . Would you mind giving an explanation here?
