Cichlid

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Cichlid. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Misplaced Pages:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you. 212.10.94.252 (talk) 03:12, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Cichlid. Doing so violates Misplaced Pages's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. 212.10.89.251 (talk) 00:15, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you disrupt Misplaced Pages, as you did to Cichlid, you will be blocked from editing. Of further note that you, if undoing my last edit, also will violate the three-revert rule. 212.10.89.251 (talk) 05:08, 7 March 2008 (UTC)

As you presumably have noticed, cichlid has now been protected to stop the starting edit war. For now it will last for a month, but if the issue should continue in a similar manner afterwards, this protection can be re-added with far longer limits (and eventually without limits). I will, however, happily add your number (that is, 2200 species), if you forward a reference that clearly supports this. I have access to the virtually all journals and books that deal with fishes and cichlids - either directly or indirectly - so that is no limit. An internet page would work, too, as long as it has a basic level of credibility (e.g. no random posts from forums or alike, but online articles by authors judged to have a fair level of insight into the subject, e.g. from the CichlidRoom, would do). I do hope you will take this as a new chance of participating. RN1970 (talk) 19:15, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

March 2008

Hi, the recent edit you made to Greg Bahnsen has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks.   jj137 (talk) 16:04, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Please stop adding unreferenced controversial biographical content to articles or any other Misplaced Pages page, as you did at Greg Bahnsen. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Misplaced Pages policy. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Flex (talk/contribs) 18:55, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Misplaced Pages's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced defamatory content into an article or any other Misplaced Pages page, as you did to Greg Bahnsen, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. Flex (talk/contribs) 21:10, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Misplaced Pages as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. utcursch | talk 11:59, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Cichlid warning part2

Please do not add unsourced or original content. Doing so violates Misplaced Pages's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. As this is a page you have received warnings about less than a month ago, and the page was semi-protected because of you, I see no other option but to start with a Level 3 warning (especially as you vent back and change the page on the very same day the semi-protection was lifted). Otherwise, please note that my previous offer still stands if you, as mentioned further up this page, can provided reliable sources. RN1970 (talk) 05:16, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
