U2 News On September 28, Bono was jointly awarded the Philadelphia Liberty Medal along with DATA. The medal is awarded to recognize leadership in the pursuit of freedom. Three U.S. Presidents, Nelson Mandela, Viktor Yushchenko, Colin Powell and Kofi Annan are among those who have been awarded it. In his acceptance speech, Bono spoke of those who don't have their liberty and urged Americans to keep working to solve the world's problems. More info here. U23D, U2's upcoming movie, will not be released until early next year. U2's recent biography, U2 By U2, is now available in paperback in the U.S. The 20th anniversary edition of The Joshua Tree will be released soon; the bonus content includes the Red Hill Mining Town video, often sought by fans. Project News Larry Mullen has reached Good Article status! Our first piece of featured content; List of U2 awards is completed. Where the Streets Have No Name is our latest GA. From the Editors Welcome to the November edition of the WikiProject U2 Newsletter. This month's theme is Zooropa, one of U2's most experimental albums. We hope you enjoy reading it! New Members The Album Zooropa was released on July 6, 1993. This album, along with Pop, is considered one of U2's most experimental. It was originally slated to be an EP, but expanded into an LP. It was recorded in between legs on the Zoo TV Tour. Zooropa features a rare lead singing performance by The Edge, on the song Numb. The names of three unfinished songs from the recording sessions -"Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me", "If You Wear That Velvet Dress", and "Wake Up Dead Man"- appear superimposed on the cover; "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me" was used in the Batman Forever soundtrack, and "If You Wear That Velvet Dress" and "Wake Up Dead Man" were included on 1997's "Pop". "Numb" was released in an unlikely format as the first "video single"; the "Numb" video is thought of as one of U2's best. "Some Days are Better Than Others" is the only track to have never been played live. The singles from Zooropa are "Numb", "Lemon", and "Stay (Faraway, So Close!)"

The Elaine Benes page.

I'm still concerned about Elaine's page because it's has far to little source and I only manage to add one in but my head is still spinning about what website I should look through. I don't mind being the loser in this but right now, the characteristics still needs to be reshaped to wikipeadia standard. I know Inkquill and Gprince007 and you are working hard but what about the others that signed in? I need you to chat to them and see if they still want to do this project? If they do, I'd be greatful. Busy or not, I want you to assess Elaine's page and give me more things to add, change or delete parts of the page so that it would look as good as the other main characters separate pages. Please, take you time and since you only speak in Wikipeadia terms, give me a few more lessons will you? Thanks. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 11:45, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm also uncertain of the word misanthrope in Elaine's page. On the first paragraph of "Characteristics" it mentions the word but to me it doesn't have any meaning except it's too hard to explain in full what it means in context of Elaine. I can't think of anything to add although I did refix some words to make it sound more straightforward but I don't know hat to put after the word misanthrope. I need you to add something to misanthrope so it will make sense that Elaine is not simply a robot but a woman that questions the life in New York. I'm not sure if I'm making any sense and since you're in charge of the project you should help me on this. I agree. I got your message. So what word would replace mouth and honesty? As simple as it sounds, the closest I would get is most likely I don't know, truthful? I believe 'openness' works very well and it fits perfectly. I agree that word works very well. I would've prefer 'big mouth' but 'openness' is better. You should put that in. Like misanthrope. WTF am I blocked??? I come home and switch on the computer to find this? Why? The only reason given for the block was bye. What the hell is that supposed to mean?
