You're getting lots of tips today! Did you know you don't have to copy the entire code for a userbox onto your page? You can just ] it be using the code <nowiki>{{location of userbox here}}</nowiki>. For example, the most recent userbox you added to your page could've been added simply by adding <nowiki>{{User:LightSpectra/Userboxes/MT}}</nowiki> to your page. This should help keep your userpage less cluttered. –<font face="Verdana">] (])</font> 20:20, 24 June 2008 (UTC) | You're getting lots of tips today! Welcome!

Tom Brady
Thank you for removing the vandalism about the Patriots cheating. I don't know when this kid will realize that it does not belong there! Thanks again! America69 (talk) 14:14, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. I suspect it's gonna continue until the Pats lose a couple in a row. It'll be a long couple of years :) Thanks Ψνnu 15:01, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
Mississippi Election Discussions
Now that the courts have decided both of Mississippi's Senate elections will be held on the same day, I have opened a new discussion about merging the two articles.
Talk:United States Senate election in Mississippi, 2008#Merge 3
I have also opened a debate about potentially splititng the special election controversy section into it's own article.
Talk:United States Senate special election in Mississippi, 2008#Split Controversy Section
Please read over each debate and weigh them on their individual merits. The subjects are not necessarily linked to each other.--Dr who1975 (talk) 23:15, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Welcome to the Military history project
Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Misplaced Pages's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, writing contests, article logistics, and other tasks.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a style guide that covers article structure and content, template use, categorization, and many other issues of interest.
- If you're looking for something to work on, there are many articles that need attention.
- The project has a stress hotline available for your use.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask one of the project coordinators, or any experienced member of the project, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around! Woody (talk) 12:55, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. If you do have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on my talkpage. Best regards. Woody (talk) 10:52, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Help
{{helpme}}
Could anyone find my edit count for me. I can't seem to get it. Thanks. America69 (talk) 02:53, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Go to Special:Preferences and look at the number next to "Number of edits". Also, new posts on a talk page go to the bottom, not the top, which is why I moved this. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • 03:00, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
Response concerning '08 opinion polling map
That's definitely where I'm leaning, yeah. Although, I was going to use just two colors no matter how slim the margin is, and the margin of the projection would be posted on the state (along with postal abbreviation and electoral vote total). This would be for all states. If I were to use gray for toss-up states, a certain range would have to be defined in order to determine what states should be colored gray. -- Fifty7 (talk) 22:51, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- I just finished putting together the new map, it'll be on the article soon. It's just two colors and the margins of projected victory are clearly presented with each state, so as to not misrepresent the information. -- Fifty7 (talk) 02:35, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
RFA !votes
(Re ) Thanks, but it's best to indent duplicate votes rather than remove them completely. (Don't worry, I made this mistake before also). –xenocidic (talk) 14:05, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- No problem. Typically you just need to add a colon after the #hash. –xenocidic (talk) 14:09, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
- Another tip: when replying to RFA comments, make sure you precede your ":" with a "#" (i.e. "#:") to ensure the numbering works properly. (See ). –xenocidic (talk) 20:17, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Userboxen
You're getting lots of tips today! Did you know you don't have to copy the entire code for a userbox onto your page? You can just transclude it be using the code {{location of userbox here}}. For example, the most recent userbox you added to your page could've been added simply by adding {{User:LightSpectra/Userboxes/MT}} to your page. This should help keep your userpage less cluttered. –xenocidic (talk) 20:20, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
