*] - I have edited an article on the Israeli town of Tirat Carmel. I added notice to the fact that the modern town was developed on the site of a Palestinian Arab village whose population fled during Israel's War of Independence. I also removed reference to the nearby industrial park of MATAM since it is not within the municipal boundaries of Tirat Carmel but of neighouring Haifa. These changes and a few others apparently violated the sensitivities of the original editor. He reverted the article back to it's original form. Furthermore, he has not answered my call, both on the article talk page and on his personal talk page, that we discuss the issue. I would like to add that in general, the wording he uses in the article paints quite a fantastical picture of Tirat Carmel. Anyone who is not personally acquainted with the town might be impressed that it is a vibrant and important city when in fact it is a dilapidated former development town whose population is on a low socio-economic level. 03:20, 3 September 2005 (UTC) *] - I have edited an article on the Israeli town of Tirat Carmel. • Comment: (Disclaimer: I have no Turkish affiliation or hatred whatsoever; I have never visited the page linked above yet, and I was obviously not involved in the dispute either.) This page is meant to list the "disputes" (they shouldn't even qualify as real disputes at this stage) in a very, very NPOV manner -- that's why you're not even allowed to sign your entry. The entry above is very biased however -- "someone" insists on accusations regarding a genocide, while "other user" considers this extreme: is it very hard to determine which "party" filed this entry without consulting the history or visiting the talk page? --Gutza 22:59, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
