Unspecified source for Image:Rozz.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Rozz.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Misplaced Pages (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Misplaced Pages:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Misplaced Pages:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 07:31, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

Maniac Mansion

Just a quick note to let you know I've removed your recent comment that the character, 'Michael F. Stoppe' was the first playable black character in a video game. See the article on One_on_One:_Dr._J_vs._Larry_Bird, released 4 years before Maniac Mansion. This may not also be the first occurence, but it predates your addition. -- Longhair 09:58, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

'Scene'

Hi there. I read your comment on the talk page of the 'article', and agree wholeheartedly. Maybe you would like to voice an opinion here at the deletion discussion, where it is more likely to be taken into account? The Crying Orc 17:01, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Thank you...That's exactly what I wanted to do, but I wasn't sure where to go. Rzrscm 17:11, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Rozzotop.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Rozzotop.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Misplaced Pages's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Bernard Bernoulli

I saw your comment on Bernard Bernoulli, and have decided that you probably wrote the article. If so, I had a few questions: -did you create the article, or just add to it? -do you think it would be acceptable to create an article for a different character from the first Maniac Mansion game? (As far as I can tell, he only appeared in the one game.) JimmmyThePiep 04:57, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

I didn't write it...I just added to it. I really can't say how acceptable it would be to create an article for another character, but it doesn't seem like a good idea since the Maniac Mansion article covers everything there is to know about them since they're not very dynamic. Bernard was actually also the main character in Day of the Tentacle and made an appearance in Sam and Max Hit the Road, so there's more to the character than the Maniac Mansion article could cover. I could suggest, however, adding a picture of each character by their description on the Maniac Mansion article. Rzrscm 09:41, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

I didn't think so.. so I'd ask.

The problem with pictures: Misplaced Pages doesn't like them. Unless you own the copyright to an image (Nintendo, or LucasArts) or have permission from them, you can't post it. I have a drawing in Illustrator of Razor, Jeff, and Dave, but I reckon I can't use those either because they're 'too similiar' to the copyrighted image. (I'm betting if I hand-drew a picture, that would be fine by Misplaced Pages-standards. Unfortunately, I can't draw, so it would be a really bad caricature.)

I've been trying over a week now just to upload one picture of a church, and it's near impossible unless I go out and take a picture of the church, and then give up all rights to the image. The one I've uploaded (with permission from the owner) has been deleted twice already. If there's this much hassle uploading a picture of a building, I can only imagine the legal hyjinx with copyrighted characters..JimmmyThePiep 20:06, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Sad, but true...I completely forgot that you can only have one game screenshot per article when I suggested that. Rzrscm 00:27, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps, it does say "Official Christian Death". Whoever it is needs to get their caps lock key fixed before coming back to edit. - Deathrocker 13:20, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Voodoolady-mi3-01.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Voodoolady-mi3-01.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Tila Tequila

I'm not going to fight you on this but given the potentially serious nature of any allegations, I've brought it at Misplaced Pages:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#Tila_Tequila. You don't have to comment there but you may see a number of random people coming in from that way. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 11:00, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

I've reverted it. Don't post death rumors until you have a real source, and Twitter is emphatically not a real source.—Kww(talk) 11:12, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Please stop adding unreferenced controversial biographical content to articles or any other Misplaced Pages page, as you did at Tila Tequila. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Misplaced Pages policy. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. —Kww(talk) 11:15, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you violate Misplaced Pages's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced defamatory content into an article or any other Misplaced Pages page, as you did to Talk:Tila Tequila, you will be blocked from editing Misplaced Pages. —Kww(talk) 11:17, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

Why are you still talking to me? This is the third message you've sent me since the last time I edited. Go to bed. Rzrscm (talk)

April 2009

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Tila Tequila. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Please stop until there is a better source. OnoremDil 11:12, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
