No such user?
Hello, and welcome to Misplaced Pages!
I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Misplaced Pages's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?
I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.
You have several options freely available to you:
- If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
- If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Misplaced Pages's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Misplaced Pages administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
- You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Misplaced Pages:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.
Thank you. decltype (talk) 07:09, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- No we cannot discuss it. I don't think it violates any policy. No such user (talk) 07:12, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- I see. I just think it's slightly confusing to see a redlinked "No such user" in the page histories. Even if it isn't a violation of policy, would you consider changing it anyway, as a courtesy? decltype (talk) 07:27, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, I have considered it, and rejected it. Thanks for your concern. No such user (talk) 07:29, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
- I understand. Probably I am the one who is confused. But for reassurance, I have created an entry at WP:RFCN. Sorry for the trouble. decltype (talk) 08:10, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
