Please be more careful

Hi, I have just tagged The Detroit Stock Exchange which you created via WP:AFC with {{csd-g12}} as a blatant copyvio of here. It was even listed as the only source on the article! regards, ascidian | talk-to-me 09:37, 19 August 2009 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages talk:Articles for creation/McClellandtown

Could you reconsider your review here? As a populated town, it has inherent notability, and most of these tiny towns that have an article have only one or two references (or none). Usually these references are just censuses, but this town in particular had a book about the history of the district, and then you could easily find census information for an American town. The article is thick with an inappropriate tone, but it's certainly notability, and reliable sourcing is no issue. Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 03:51, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

well it it had more sourcing i could actually see then maybe the source is the book but i cant see the book, or own the book so i cant check it. bye no means i not saying the source the book is bad but how am i suppose to check it? also the one who requested it could have made the article them selves because they have the a id already Articles for creation are mostly for people with out Misplaced Pages id all ready.Oo7565 (talk) 04:52, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

In issues of "I don't have that source", we assume good faith. It's the same with references in another language. Also, WP:AFC is not just for IPs, but for anyone who wishes to have an article proof-read and checked to make sure it complies with guidelines. Experience editors know the rules; newbies may not. Misplaced Pages talk:Articles for creation/Laura Dekker

Please reconsider your decision on this article, Misplaced Pages talk:Articles for creation/Laura Dekker. The article already includes a reference from The Times of London, England, which is a reliable source. -- Eastmain (talk) 03:12, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

of course i will but i do not think one source makes aan article i think it needs more sources thats why i used the sources declain reasonOo7565 (talk) 03:19, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages talk:Articles for creation/Jaime Milner

Would you consider reviewing your decision. I do not believe A7 applies here. Not to sound like I am attacking, but maybe you should put some research into the topic before you decline :)? Thanks SparksBoy (talk) 05:24, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

yes i would i always word do that one more thing thanks for help thats what afc is for people helping people right. i said no because of the sources for one correct me if i am wrong but imdb and myspace are not really consider sources or not really good one right correct and thats all the article sources at the bottom listed thats why i said noOo7565 (talk) 05:31, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Maybe it would be a good idea to try to add some sources yourself :) SparksBoy (talk) 05:45, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

yes it world be sorryOo7565 (talk) 05:51, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Hey guys, just dropping in to let you know that I re-declined the submission. The sources provided (imdb and myspace) are definitely not verifiably reliable. (Even if they DID count, however however, neither of them are actual sources - Jaime Milner isn't listed anywhere on IMDB in relation to the cast list for the movie (and not on his posted resumé) and MySpace is about the band, not him - so we should ignore them not once but twice.) I looked around Google and Google news, which Eastmain did as well, and found nothing on this dude. Moreover, even if we had the sources to back any of these claims up, he would still fail WP:ENT as he has not had "significant roles in multiple commercially produced or significant films..." ~ Amory (usertalkcontribs) 18:41, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Warning re. Articles for creation

Please stop adding inappropriate content to Misplaced Pages via the Articles For creation process.

Recently, you accepted this version of the article about Zdenek Altner. Misplaced Pages's policy on biographical information about living persons is stricter than that of other articles, because of the dangers of legal actions. Any controversial statements about a living person added to an article must include proper sources.

This article had two references, but they only prove that the person wrote for a couple of foreign magazines. They do not assert that the person is under governmental suppression ('watched'), nor do they cover the financial irregularity claims. These are controversial, non-neutral statements, so they would require a solid reliable source if they are to appear.

In light of past issues with Articles for creation, I politely ask that you do not work on AFC for a while. I think that there are many other areas on Misplaced Pages where you could help out and learn more about policies. For example, helping out with articles deletion discussions, or helping with the huge backlog of tasks.

One of the best ways to get involved is to join some projects - you could browse them in projects.

I would be very happy to help and advise about anything. Please don't take this warning personally. I simply think that it is in our mutual best interests if you don't work on AFC, that's all. Thanks for your time; please do ask me about anything you like on my own talk page, or talk to helpers live, with this. Best of luck with your future editing.  Chzz  ►  20:36, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
