Charles Creighton, MA, MD, (November 22, 1847, Peterhead, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, - July 18, 1927, Upper Boddington, Northamptonshire, England) was a physician and medical writer who wrote History of Epidemics in Britain, which was referred to, at the end or the 19th century, as "the greatest medical work ever written by one man." Having previously written for the Encyclopedia Britannica, Dr. Creighton was asked to contribute the article on vaccination for its Ninth Edition.
