This is my talk page. Please feel free to leave me any comments. Be aware that I will remove standardised warning templates, feel free however to discuss the underlying issues with me. Sumbuddi (talk) 19:01, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Welcome back

Good to see that you kept a clear head under pressure, well done. Off2riorob (talk) 19:05, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your kind words. Sumbuddi (talk) 19:07, 27 February 2010 (UTC)

Shoot!

You missed your chance! I was genuinely surprised to not see you there. There's always next time. --King Öomie 18:18, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

My vote, my ringing endorsement or my damning condemnation couldn't have changed the final result.
Perhaps next time indeed.... Sumbuddi (talk) 19:33, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Lumi's Oppose was masterfully crafted. It cast just enough doubt in its 'description' of the diffs that is swung no less than two other opposers.
I would LOVE to see a 'ringing endorsement' from you. I can't even imagine what that would look like. Probably take the oppose vote you WOULD have written, print it, and make a jumbled ransom-note-support with the words.
"Kingoomieiii... good... admin... abuse... never... not... unfair... always... NPOV... " --King Öomie 19:39, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
Hmm. You were 39-7 before his post, 28-29 afterwards. I'm not sure that's entirely conclusive though, there's also Coldplay Expert there. You can't seriously hope to take on the creationists and not make any enemies. Anyway, I didn't post on your RFA so probably you should direct further discussion on this topic to those that did, because TBH if I'd wanted to get involved, I would have done. Sumbuddi (talk) 20:10, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
To be honest, this is a time-wasting tactic to avoid writing 100 individual messages. I refuse to use a template. For now. --King Öomie 21:03, 1 March 2010 (UTC)

Talkback

Hello, Sumbuddi. You have new messages at Wiki libs's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Nikoi Island, Indonesia

Per WP:OUTCOMES, locations such as real islands are almost always kept as notable. Please take it to WP:AfD if you dislike it. Bearian (talk) 02:49, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

I got your message about Nikoi Island, Indonesia on my talk page. As I already suggested, if you still want to delete it, nominate the article for deletion as noted. Bearian (talk) 23:22, 11 March 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Bintan Resorts

A tag has been placed on Bintan Resorts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please note

http://en.wikipedia.org/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Deletion_sorting/Indonesia also is a useful tool - many editors do not necessarily go to the project page to look for the current state of what is what - but a notification by using the add-in to include Indonesian deletion is a matter of courtesy SatuSuro 00:43, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Well it would be had I been aware of it. Anyway, you might like to watch WP:WikiProject Indonesia/Article alerts; this will show as changed when a new article gets AFDed. Sumbuddi (talk) 01:01, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
OK when you find items related to the Indonesian project that arent tagged like that could you please add the Indonesian project tag to the talk page? It would be very helpful - as we have such a light number of maintenance type editors around these days - every small bit helps - thanks SatuSuro 01:08, 16 March 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Nihiwatu

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nihiwatu, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Misplaced Pages's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Misplaced Pages is not" and Misplaced Pages's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. It may also be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to do so is reached. Plutonium27 (talk) 05:42, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Andrew Brons

I'm not entirely sure that you are correct that WP:BLP outweighs WP:EW in this situation. I was a bit troubled by the tone of some of your edit summaries here on your talk page, since the people who disagree with you appeared to me to be editing in good faith. I wasn't certain whether or not I should block you, so I asked for other opinions at ANI. I tried to represent your side of the disagreement fairly; feel free to contribute to whatever discussion happens. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 20:00, 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Bridget Phillipson

The article Bridget Phillipson has been proposed for deletion because under Misplaced Pages policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Misplaced Pages:Referencing for beginners or ask at Misplaced Pages:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. RadioFan (talk) 22:00, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

Nicola Blackwood

Hi, just wondering if you could elaborate a bit about how the criticism of Nicola Blackwood is "not notable"? I live in her constituency and have heard about that in the papers. Also, regarding the information about Evan Harris, I thought that belonged better in the actual Evan Harris article, which is why I added it in there. Regards, Victor Greenstreet (talk) 02:39, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Sumbuddi - I respectfully disagree. This is the first major criticism she has received, and as such I think it is worthy of inclusion. I doubt the Oxford Student is 'spinning' this story - it is a non-political newspaper. She did indeed attend one hustings event - this could also be mentioned in the article.
As for the second point, changing it to "...have disagreed with many of the views of her opponent" just seemed to be a more succinct way of putting it, and encourages people to go to the Evan Harris article to read the remarks in context. Of course she won by defeating him, but to point out those particular issues and imply that they had a hand in his defeat is pure speculation Victor Greenstreet (talk) 12:34, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Sumbuddi, please stop vandalizing the Nicola Blackwood page with your personal opinions. You rewrite it with only one intention, and that is to provide completely unsubstantiated excuses for Harris' defeat. I do not know why you have duch a dislike for the new Oxford MP, but your POV has no place in a Wiki article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.152.95.1 (talk) 11:51, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

Actually, looking at the article from a WP:3O view, it is YOU who insists on keeping this useless argument alive. Sumbuddi is well within the letter and spirit of WP:RS, as well as WP:BLP. Insisting on reliable, verifiable sources is not only NOT out of line for any editor, but in the case of an article involving a living person, mandatory. --Alan the Roving Ambassador (talk) 01:45, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Noah's Ark Zoo Farm

Your recent removal of an El has been reverted as the EL in question is valid in the context of continuing protests against the zoo. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 16:27, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
