Indeed. I'm thinking that the answer to the original question is that an Anion is positively charged, a Cation is negatively charged, and an Onion has many layers of charges. It's not necessarily wrong to be editing on an IP even if you make most of your edits with a named account. See Misplaced Pages:SOCK#Legitimate_uses. —Soap— 23:24, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your note. There's no harm in assuming good faith with someone that appears to be a troll. If you do assume good faith, sometimes it puts them on the spot and they make their trolldom clear. Other times, just maybe possibly, they're sincere. Bugs, I'm not opposed to constistency, but he couldn't gain a consensus to change the status quo ("football" only on association football articles, full code on all other articles). The solution it to keep trying to gain a consesus for consistency, not make unilateral changes against consensus. You know as well as I do that changing long-entrenched consensus/status-quo/rules can take years, but being disruptive, as Doc has been, never helps the cause.

I'm still confused as to why he's changing the NFL articles instead of the Euro-footy ones, but he may well have tried that and been stymied. I do believe the full code should be shown in the Lead at first mention (once in the whole article, plus infobox if used there) for the sake of clarity, as we do have international readers (or US readers in the case of Euro-footie) who may not be all that bright or have trouble understanding English (we know both types well!) However, I'd support the other method too, providing it gains a consensus. So far, that hasn't happened, which is why I reverted Doc's edits on 3 NFL articles. (I didn't touch the others to avoid an appearance of stalking, while Doc has not avoided the appearance of stalking.) FWIW. - BilCat (talk) 05:32, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

The Cubs and the BoSox are good examples of the cold hard fact that spending alone will not necessarily buy a championship or a playoff berth.
