Hey I gotta question for ya

Hey

Two directors of General Hospital are Ron Cates and Ronald C. Cates but aren't they the same person? If so why are they listed twice? I wanted to make sure about this before I change it, it seems funny to me that they would hire two people with basically the same name. P.J. (talk) 04:42, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

Y&R minor characters decision

Hey MF, I posted my new opinion about the Y&R minor characters page as Eureka Lott and others make a genuine point about preserving the article history. I changed my opinion from Delete to Redirect; List of The Young and the Restless characters needs some work but I think it would be a good idea for the destiny of the minor characters page. Bold and the Beautiful Cast

Hey Musicfreak,

I just wanted to inform you that both Down and Wagner according to both the new SOD and at the end of today's episode are listed as recurring. Question

Hey I was just wondering something cuz I saw on the Gloria Bardwell page that there were some sources from SoapsSheKnows.com and I remember reading somewhere that website wasn't allowed on Wiki. Can you let me know if this is true? Because if it is I'll remove them immediately. Oh and the for the link to the Y&R minor characters deletion discussion just to to The Young and the Restless minor characters and click "this article's entry." General Hospital and Katie

Thanks for the kind words left on my talk page.;)

However, there seem to a false information that you are editing on many articles about Katie taking to the 2:00pm timeslot. That is not the case at all. Katie is taking the 3:00pm timeslot, not the 2:00pm one.

Remember, Katie is a syndicated show that will be broadcast through local programming. It won't be a network show like The Chew and GH. It wouldn't make sense for ABC to have at 1:00pm The Chew (a network show), then have at 2:00pm Katie (a local show) and then having at 3:00pm General Hospital (a network show). ABC will always separate its network shows from its local shows. That information about Katie at 2:00pm is therefore incorrect and I didn't see it on any of the provided sources either.

Upon re-reading the article, I have to disagree with you Farine. The article makes it seem as if GMA: Afternoon is replacing The Revolution until Katie can fill its timeslot. And if it is infact true that General Hospital s moving to 2pm, then it will lose a significant amount of viewers, myself included. So the article either needs to be more clear or we await ABC's schedule, which hopefully, will be out sooner rather than later. I mean, let's face it, ABC's decisions have been lax the past few years, no thanks to Brian Frons. _{MusicFreak7676} 16:35, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

The article is simply pointing that GMA will air at 2:00pm until Katie starts (NOT until Katie fills in the timeslot). Nowhere on the article does it say that Katie will actually air at 2:00pm.

Here what the article says.

The news ends months of speculation about what will happen to the venerable soap whose long-time 3 PM slot will be taken over by Katie Couric’s new syndicated talk show in the fall.

It couldn't be any clearer than this.

Putting Katie at 3:00pm has been ABC-Disney's plan since last year. What should it changed all of suddenly just because The Revolution has been cancelled? And why should ABC program at 1:00pm, cedes the 2:00pm timeslot to its affilates, and program again at 3:00pm, when the network can just program on the first two hours and cedes the last hour to its affiliates. Oh, I didn't see that part of the article. I apologize. Either way, ABC is about to lose a lot of viewership by putting it to 2pm come September, myself included. Fixed it. You put the wrong link. There was no "&" in the image. And per WP:YEAR, years are shortened, infobox or not. Unless you can prove to me otherwise, the shortened years stay. _{MusicFreak7676} 02:36, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Just out of curoisty, where are your sources claming that Jen Lilley likes to be recurring and not on contract, and about Robin leaving the show, where is your source, she is alive, just because she hasn't been on in awhile that don't mean she's not on the show, example would be Shawn Butler, Maggie Wurth, Todd Manning? Jen has stated in interviews that she's on recurring and prefers it that way. And SOD confirmed that McCullough is no longer appearing as Robin. Plus, SOD never confirmed that Jen was bumped to contract. We all just assumed it. _{MusicFreak7676} 16:32, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Can you move the Kristina page???

I've been trying to move the Kristina Corinthos Davis article back to the title Kristina Davis, but I am not allowed. The character is mainly known as Kristina Davis, and that is how she is referenced on the show as well as the ABC website. This was discussed a few years ago, and people keep finding ways around the rules and move it anyway.--Nk3play2 21:38, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Kelly Sullivan

There are a couple of problems here. The most glaring is the image used. Copyrighted images are almost never allowed to be used in BLPs. They almost always fail our non-free content criteria. It is almost always possible to acquire a free image of a living person. Possible doesn't necessarily equal easy. It's definitely conceivable that an editor could take a picture of her or the actress or one of her representatives could submit a picture of her. Secondly, it's never a good idea to create a WP:BLP without sources. If there aren't reliable sources discussing her she may not be notable. AniMate 01:48, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

YouTube as a reliable source

While I agree with your reversions at Delta Goodrem, I contend that YouTube can be a perfectly reliable source depending on who published the video. Many organizations use YouTube for official distribution of their original produced video content, and this includes news organizations that publish reports and interviews. Conversely, many accounts on YouTube are used for copyright violation, and its videos are uploaded illicitly and should never even be linked from Misplaced Pages for any reason. But just because a snippet of video content is on YouTube is no reason for it to be ignored as a reliable source, if it is properly produced and published. From what I've been told by several other members, YouTube fails WP:V and WP:CITE. I have reported this member to the AN/I people. So that's why I removed such a source. This member has continued to add unsourced speculation. _{MusicFreak7676} 19:28, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

That's not what WP:YOUTUBE says. It says that copyright should be observed, as I mentioned before. YouTube IS NOT A SOURCE. YouTube is a publishing channel. Sock puppets

I do enjoy working on Misplaced Pages articles, but had become discouraged by what I see as an increasingly bureaucratic, rule-driven approach on the part of some zealots who nominate articles for deletion and who mess up other articles with various tags, including the ones on the Alexz Johnson article. That article used to have a lot of links to sources, but many of those either got deleted in revisions, or the original sources just disappeared off the Internet. I also spent a fair bit of time getting good copyright-cleared pictures for that article (from Epitome, the production company), but most of those got deleted.

I admire people like yourself who nevertheless forge ahead and maintain a set of articles!

I've always figured "Shictor" would get together, even before their first union. And while I do believe it's disgusting, no one has ever treated Sharon like Victor has and vice versa. As for the Kyle SORAS. I was hoping they wouldn't do that, I loved the previous Kyle so much more. But because of soaps, characters are SORAS'ed after a period of time. Yeah Sharon and Victor have always had a weird vibe. What do you think of Phyllis and Nick remarrying? From what I understand they only married the first time because of Summer, and that's why Sharon's all suspicious. I'm thinking they'll have another petty argument and "Phick" will break off the engagement or something. I was hoping "Shick" would reunite this year and they would remarry but as everyone is telling me Sharon and Nick are over for good. I'm also predicting that Phyllis might have a miscarriage, don't know. With my luck none of this will happen haha. Do you think Fen will come back from Canada SORAS'ed? I haven't heard anything. No, they married for real not because of Summer. And "Shick" will never be over for good unless Y&R gets canned. And I think Phyllis will miscarry as at the end of Friday's episode she was spotting. And Fen is coming back as a 16 year old from boarding school and Summer will be 15. This summer it's the once again teen invasion. And SOD and SID confirmed the recasts already. LOL. I don't read spoilers either, I used to but most of the ones I read were all wrong so I stopped altogether. Fen was never a really big character until now, all I remember is like brief appearances and he was like nine. Anyway I know Fen means Fenmore and that's Lauren's maiden name but that's still an awful name. C'mon writers! Think of something more traditional LOL. Was Danny a good character before? Moses is actually a common African name despite its religious origin. Fen is unique though haha. Do you know why Colin is coming back? Probably to terrorize Gen. I hate his character, Tristan Rogers is really annoying, right up there with Yvonne Zima and Catherine Bach. I think Anita has to come back to clear up this whole apparent Jeffrey/Anita marriage. I know the background of the name Moses, it's just such a weird name. I don't like it. No I don't know why. According to sources, he comes back in Spring on a temporary basis and then will re-appear this fall for a more storyline. MAB claims the Colin storyline never felt finished for her. Stacy Haiduk photo

Hi again, I uploaded a picture of Stacy Haiduk yesterday for her article as well as Patty's article, and now I got a message on my talk page about replaceable fair use. I saw above that you had a similar problem with one of your images, was it deleted? I don't want mine to be. I struggled to find a proper one too. Have you any advice? It says otherwise it will be deleted even if I complete the steps it listed by Thursday May 10. UGH!! So many rules! Haha :) Anyway let me know. No chart position, etc. It lacked a lot of real world sourcing as well. There was like 2-3 sources when I redirected. Too early for an album page. And the same goes for her single. The album hasn't charted since it's yet to be released. There is nothing said in WP:ALBUM about that. The article is cited with few reliable and relevant sources. I think the cancelling of Ringer was really the biggest mistake The CW could have ever made. Because now I won't even watch the final episodes of America's Next Top Model since I cannot support the channel. And I believe Jennifer Landon is going to be amazing as Heather Stevens. Gwen was a really mousy character when she came on, but Jen is an amazing actress and whatever year she's been nominated for a Daytime Emmy, she's won. My only hope is that MAB doesn't treat her like she did Maura West. Eden Riegel was a mis-cast on the show's part. And of course Jack will magically walk again. Twitter and/or YouTube

Social media sites can sometimes be used as sources...if they are verified accounts of the people making the statements. I have no idea if the sources the anonymous user was attempting to use were verified accounts so can't comment on whether they'd work for the Nicole Scherzinger article. From what I've been told in the past, whether it's verified or not, Twitter fails WP:V, as well as YouTube. I'm going on what I have been told. You really didn't need to make that change to your post. I do understand frustration when you're in disagreement with someone, but I think their 'attitude' is just the frustration from the point of view they're at. New GH Opening

With this short GH opening that completely sux, and I'm not being rude so don't take it like that, any idea when we are gonna see a new opening, I'm guessing soon, after Kristina debuts, it would be kinda nice to have a new opening, with Todd, Tea, John, Starr, Ewan, and Kristina, but I hate how this opening is, they show the first segment, than the opening, than commericals? come on what happend to the good ole days, when it's the first segment, opening and the second segment, than commericals, I missed that, watch 3 mins of GH, than it cuts to the opening than commericals. We don't know when the new opening premieres. I personally would like all OLTL characters to leave the show, along with Cartini, but that's just my opinion. The opening should come by the end of the month or sometime next. As for the set-up, that is Cartini's doing, making it a complete replica of One Life, to allow more commercial/airtime for the series. But no one is liking it but ABC. It won't go back unless ABC fires Cartini, which we all know won't happen since they're wrapped around ABC's fingers. And damn, that was one long sentence you wrote. If Wolf and Phelps were better than Cartini than they would still be HW and EP but they aren't because Guza, Wolf, Altman and Phelps destroyed GH, Cartini saved the show, if it weren't for them, GH would've been canceld, and GH is the last soap on the network, OLTL should've never been canceled, AMC I never liked so I really could careless. But I watched GH before this crossover and me I liked it, I love it better now that McBain, Starr, Todd and Tea are now on it. But of course Brian Frons was an idiot for canceling both shows so yeah. The ratings plummeted when Wolf and Phelps were EP and HW. The problem with you hardcore GH fans is that you don't know what it's like to lose a soap opera that you loved, we do, Cartini knew. Lets turn the tables for a minute here, how would you feel if AMC and GH got canceled last year and Phelps and Wolf became the EP and HW for OLTL and they started crossing over some of the GH characters to OLTL? You would probably feel the same way I do. I'm a huge One Lifer, and we lost that show, and me seeing them bringing their characters to GH that is a blessing. I just wanted to bring to your attention that I looked at the new SOD today and there is an article about Crystal Chappell and her new role as Danielle on B&B and for right it states that she is scheduled for 4 episodes and due to her other projects and web series Venice she will contine to air in a recurring role. List of General Hospital cast members

I saw the comment you left at the talk page of Natalie about requesting a protection for the List of General Hospital cast members page.

FYI, the page is already protected until May 1, 2013. So it is pointless to ask protection for a page that is already protected unless you're requesting a full protection where only admininstrators will be able to edit the article.

The reason why vandal User:Classscott was able to edit the page is because he passed the requirements to become an autoconfirmed user. To become autoconfirmed, a user has to make 10 edits on Misplaced Pages and wait 4 days after the account is created. That's exactly what user Classscott did. He created his account on May 9 and waited on May 19 to disrupt the article.

If you have any problems with this user, just ask Daniel Case to block the account. Since we're dealing with an account instead of an IP address , Case would almost certainly blocked it indefinitely instead of temporarily.

I asked for the protection prior to it went up, I believe. And then it was put up following that. And I've never seen that user edit an article before, they seem new and kind of like a previous editor already.

In fact, that user is a Sockpuppet of a previous user so I likely will be reporting them as such. They've done this before on 3-4 different accounts. I know this because of their obsession of Lisa Niles and anyone concerning and/or connected to her. Actually, I was the one who requested for the page to be protected for a year, barely 6 days after the previous protection you had requested from AniMate had wore off.

You can file a SPI if you want. But I think you would be better off reporting the vandal to Daniel Case since he is already familiar with the situation. It would be faster and easier than going through SPI which can sometimes takes several days. Farine (talk) 17:38, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

I reverted your edit cuz for one, Christian Monzon or whatever his name is, was on for one episode, that's it. He was never on again, but you claim "oh since there is no confirmation, lets add him back on" dude sometimes there doesn't need to be confirmation with somebody like that, it was just a one time deal, sometimes they don't announce him leaving the show, I don't know why but that's the way it is. There is no confirmation that he is still with the show, I have not seen him since that episode back in April, that was like two months ago. I already editing the image. And TBH Creativity, I don't think she needs a new image at all. Not all characters need/warrant a new image either. Hey, Musicfreak. In this edit, you stated that he stopped appearing as Todd. Do you mean that he has quit the show? If so, we need to update the lead. I kinda have to agree with the poster since you still claim Christian Monzon is still on GH even though he hasn't been seen since that episode back in April, and you claim he's on recurring when if I remember correctly, they never said he was on recurring, all they said he was appearing on the show that's it, that is really funny, you close talk pages without even backing up anything, you closed the GH/OLTL discussion cuz you can't have an argument.
