Adding reference on wiki articles
Hello Frankfurt55! Please do not forget to add references for the content you add to Misplaced Pages. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.
- While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
- Then click on "templates",
- Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,
This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --DBigXray 20:09, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
- to use this message place
{{subst:User:DBigXray/ref}}
on User_talk

Thanks for taking an interest. But, the copy reads like a fanboy article, and the information is poorly sourced. Can you, please, help in cleaning it up? Aditya 12:08, 25 July 2012 (UTC)
- I am posting your text here, and removing it from the article. Please, improve it here before posting to the article. Aditya 12

Bangladesh Air Force was organised in India with the initiative of Sqd.Ldr.Sultan Mahmud (Ex-PAF Pilot),B.U., Capt.Shahabuddin Ahmed.BU(Ex-PIA Pilot).Capt Akram Ahmed(Ex-Plant protection Pilot).BU and Capt.Sattar(ex-PIA Pilot),B.U. and Late Capt.Sarfuddin B.U.(Ex-PIA Pilot).Later many Bangladeshi ex-PAF Officers joined in Bangladesh Air Force in India. Finally Bangladesh Air Force was formed in late July,1971. Indian Air Force trained these Officers July 71 thru November,71 as fighter pilots.Bangladesh Air Force first went in action on 3rd December,1971 and attacked the Chittagong based Oil tank depot and oil tank depot was totally destroyed by that air attack. The Air attack was conducted by Capt.Akram Ahmed,B.U..The second Bangladesh Air Force attack was on 6th December,1971 at Moulovi Bazar Pakitani Army barracks under the command of Sqd.Leader Sultan Mahmud,B.U.,where Capt.Shahabuddin Ahmed,- B.U was co-pilot. Throughout December, 1971 Bangladesh Air Force continued air attack on Army installations of Pakistan Army at Dhaka, Faridpur, Noakhali and many other districts of Bangladesh.After the independence of Bangladesh none of these fighter Pilots except the ex-PAF Officer joined in Bangladesh Air Force,and other ex PIA Pilots who fought as fighter pilot during liberation war of 1971 joined in Bangladesh Airlines and organised the Bangladesh Biman (National Airlines of Bangladesh)with their best effort. The Indian Air Force carried out several sorties against Pakistan, and within a week, IAF and BAF dominated the skies of East Pakistan. It achieved near-total air supremacy by the end of the first week of Decmber,71 as the entire Pakistani air contingent in the east, PAF No.14 Squadron, was grounded because of Indian and Bangladeshi air strikes at Tejgaon, Kurmitolla, Lal Munir Hat and Shamsher Nagar. Sea Hawks from INS Vikrant also struck Chittagong, Barisal and Cox's Bazar, destroying the eastern wing of the Pakistan Navy and effectively blockading the East Pakistan ports, thereby cutting off any escape routes for the stranded Pakistani soldiers. The nascent Bangladesh Navy (comprising officers and sailors who defected from the Pakistani Navy and Naval Commandos who were trained in Pallasy) aided in the marine warfare, carrying out attacks on major river and sea port of East Pakistan successfully and most notably Operation Jackpot.
