Talkback
Hello, Faizan. You have new messages at Syed Wamiq Ahmed Hashmi's talk page. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
And this time it's for real
Sorry my man, but I have really made up my mind. Last time you managed to drag me back, this time you won't be able to. I'm leaving the wiki, for the same reason as last time. It's pointless trying to turn this thing into a decent encyclopedia as long as they don't change the 'anyone can edit' policy. I truly feel I'm wasting my time here and that's a frustrating experience. It's been nice dealing with you and with your regular Talkpage stalker (Hi Kangaroo!), so thanks and kudos to you both.
Take care and goodbye. Yintan 23:16, 5 May 2013 (UTC)
- Dude stop this, there are other tasks too which can be done, other than reverts! Leaving will prove a greater loss! Get Back! Faizan -Let's talk! 08:00, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
- When I'm famous I'll come back as an article :-) Take care. Yintan 08:33, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
- I will create that article, but Yintan should also be active at Misplaced Pages as a User. Stop selling music and come back. Faizan -Let's talk! 08:36, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
- Huh? What the hell ya doing, Yintan? Are you doing those music thingy for business, leisure, fame or what? Arctic Kangaroo 15:47, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
- I hate to hear you are leaving. First and foremost, I have to disagree with why you are leaving. You are correct that there will always be vandals, but Misplaced Pages is reliable, as shown with this study, and a quick Google search will yield other such studies. You generally don't source Misplaced Pages (in educational essays, namely), solely because it isn't by itself a source but rather a collection of sources. I can't for the life of me find the article, but there was an internal study here at Misplaced Pages that showed most meaningful edits are made by IP users, and for the not so meaningful we have people like you. Then the bots, which as you know, are pretty accurate and only getting better with time. If you use STiki you'll see how good the algorithms have become. At any rate, your hard work is much appreciated and your presence in the community will be missed. Cheers mate — MusikAnimal 23:16, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for your messages, guys, but my decision is final. Happy editing. Cheers, Yintan 08:38, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Will miss you very much, you will always be a shining star for us, inspiring us for more. You will be remembered as a good Teacher by your Student! Don't stop visiting Misplaced Pages, and keep up with the updates, you will have to support me for my adminship too! Faizan -Let's talk! 08:41, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
Nomination for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Ash-Sharq is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Ash-Sharq until a consensus is reached. Darkness Shines (talk) 17:45, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
A word of caution...
I've been coming across messages from you on a number of user_talk pages which start off similar to this:
"Hello, a very warm welcome from me! Keep up the great work. I saw that you did a valuable comment at Sanaullah Haq..."
To me they read like promotional material aimed at encouraging other editors to side with your views about the Sanaullah Haq article's WP:AfD status and to then influence the decision process. That you are seeking out individual editors on their talk pages rather than responding on the article talk page and/or at the AfD discussion might lead one to question whether you are actively campaigning.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with WP:CANVAS.
I'm not a Misplaced Pages Administrator, just a fellow editor who wishes to make sure that you're aware of the WP:CANVAS guidelines so that you may give consideration to how your activities may be viewed by others.
To be frank, I'm not really interested in justifications or arguments defending why you've chosen to post these comments. What's relevant to me is that you've now been made aware of the guidelines so that you may give them consideration when making decisions in the future. Good Luck, --Kevjonesin (talk) 00:49, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- And you accuse me and DS of PA and canvassing!..You are caught red-handed for canvassing.....thanks Kevjonesin for getting it to our notice Strike Σagle 02:12, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- @Kev That was just a part of the discussion, I was just giving my arguments and trying to expand them. All my comments, on the talk page of users, came only after their entries at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Sanaullah Haq, obviously then I did not intend to get a "Keep" Entry from them, as they had already entered. WP:CANVAS deals with promotion illegally, but I tried to discuss and get the consent of the editors through references, and facts, and that does not fit upon the definition of canvassing. Anyway, thanks for your message here. Faizan -Let's talk! 09:55, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- @Strike I did not accuse him of canvassing. You need not to worry at all! Because I am going to give you a last chance, for those personal attacks! Faizan -Let's talk! 09:55, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- (edit conflict)Donot pose authority...don't presume to threaten me by your last chances.....my comment has no direct personal attack whatsoever..I am not the first person who accused you of e-mailing or canvassing....we just got some proof too.......you made direct personal attacks and canvassing accuses by describing with name....so going to AE as you are trying to threaten me will only lead to WP:BOOMERANG...I have added the sarcasm tag to my comment anyway.. Thanks, Strike Σagle 16:18, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Don't worry Strike! I cannot pose authority, you are Welcome. Cheers! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Faizan Al-Badri (talk • contribs)
- My tone would have actually been quite better had you not threatened to take me to AE and all that crap.. :) Thanks, Strike Σagle 16:23, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- BTW your red signature at the top of the page is messing things slightly when trying to edit the page.... ;)....maybe you can fix it... Thanks, Strike Σagle 16:25, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks, but those accusations of "dispatching emails...." were for WP:CANVAS obviously. I will fix that error on top. Anyway, now forget that! I really seek cooperation, not conflicts or such crap. And believe me, I think that you are in much aspects better than your friends! Faizan -Let's talk! 16:29, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Said that, everyone knows those were for canvassing but you got no proof to back that up! :P...hehe..even I would say that...you are better than your friends..in my long time over here.. Thanks, Strike Σagle 16:34, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Cheers! It seems that we were following Kev's piece of advice below! Faizan -Let's talk! 16:36, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

- Remembering/learning/practicing not taking things to a WP:PERSONAL level might a great thing for most all of us to work on. No fighting, no biting, share your toys, and, when accidents happen, apologies are often preferred over excuses. : } --Kevjonesin (talk) 16:14, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah Kev! You are right! That's why I even asked for an apology at my talk for an alleged PA, instead in the case I had been attacked, but I forgive, and I ask for it. Faizan -Let's talk! 16:16, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Verbatim corporation
Assalam o Alaikum brother!
Verbatim is original Japan corporation, not US. You can see it on Verbatim Corporation page. And I make right change, but you revert it to wrong.
Mikeev (talk) 08:41, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- As it was a disambiguation page, I have replaced it again, thanks! Faizan -Let's talk! 08:44, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
New alteration
Thanks! Buddy! I have been here since 2007 but I left this work in late 2008. Since then I have seen many topics on our country, which need to be revise, as many of them have not much valid information. So lets work together and made some difference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shamie362 (talk • contribs) 09:27, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, see the topics and read the rules and regulations of Misplaced Pages properly before regular editing. I wish you best of luck. But remember to have a look on WP:FIVEPILLARS Faizan -Let's talk! 09:38, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
Advice from an old man
Dear Faisan, it looks like an IR violation. We must monitor ourselves more strictly than those who disagree with us often do. Never allow emotions or pride or truth to get in the way of meticulous adherence to policy: really invaluable editors learn that, and if they are notified of a slip, no matter by whom, they do well to display the correct attitude and revert. It's pointless to worry Arbcom, or argue on these matters there when a simple admission of a slipup can mend the error. True, this often means that rubbish is restored, but you should have some confidence, esp. in the present case, that other editors will ensure that it is eliminated in a very short time. Regards, and best wishes for your exams. Nishidani (talk) 11:16, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- This student will stick to your advice, Sir! You need not to worry, I am sorry if my citing of your note in support to my revert, caused any problem for you, anyway forget that. Cheers. Faizan -Let's talk! 12:34, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry to interrupt, but I believe Nishidani meant you ought to self-revert your last edit to the Palestinian people, so you won't get blocket for 1RR violation. I would support his advice, the article will eventually end up having a map that complies with consensus and for your own benefit you shouldn't risk being blocked over this. IRR is draconically enforced, it doesn't matter whether you are factual right or wrong when you violate it. (It may look like Greenberg is in violation of IRR and may risk being blocked as well). Regards, Iselilja (talk) 13:12, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- Ok, I have reverted my edits, and restored to the previous revision by Greenberg, Thanks for your advice. Faizan -Let's talk! 15:29, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- Cheers. Fine. Hope your exams go well. Regards, Iselilja (talk) 15:46, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
