Indefinite full protection: Persistent vandalism – On 14 May 2012 this article was suggested as a target for a specific type of vandalism on The Oatmeal, a high-traffic website. Once the page protection ceaced, we got editors pushing the same type of vandalism. We're coming up on 3 years since the original article and we still have drive by vandalism making the same opposed arguments. If someone wants to make a suggestion for an edit, the talk page is open to suggestions that don't involve this joke or BLP violations. Pinging Admins (Joe Decker—CharlieEchoTango—Kudpung—Runningonbrains—Bongwarrior—Reaper Eternal—The Wordsmith) for additional advice as each one of these Admins has adjusted the protection level of this page since the joke went live. We are seeking the SALTing of all articles on the list linked. Secondly, requesting Blacklisting of all article titles containing any element in Group 1: (wilayat/wilayah/province including both capital and lower case) combined with any element in Group 2: (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant/ISIL/ISIS/IS/Islamic State). Hopefully this is the right place to request, if not tell us where. See this link], the links to the deletion discussions below it that resulted in all titles and redirects being deleted (lots of policy based comments), and editor discussion above it for support for this action. The continued disruptive efforts to recreate deleted articles with the same or very similar titles necessitates this. Support protection, a declaration of Wilayat with untranslated content and/or with the use of Misplaced Pages's voice is a violation of NPOV. Other people's describe the territory as something different. A very similar problem was raised when Daesh proclaimed themselves as "Islamic State" but, fortunately, in this case we had designations such as "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" to fall back on. I've setup a page to track this issue where it will not be bot archived. We've deleted 27 similar articles plus 5 related ones so far in 10 different closed deletion discussions. • To find out the username of the admin who protected the page, click on "history" at the top of the page, then click on "View logs for this page," which is under the title of the page. The protecting admin is the username in blue before the words "protected", "changed protection level" or "pending changes". If there are a number of entries on the log page, you might find it easier to select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" from the dropdown menu in the blue box.
• Requests to downgrade full protection to template protection on templates and modules can be directed straight here; you do not need to ask the protecting admin first.
• Requests for removing create protection on redlinked articles are generally assisted by having a draft version of the intended article prepared beforehand.
