:My second request here for this tool after having recently been declined . I have now just about grazed the famous 200-mark and so much of what I do is based on checking changes and extinguishing vandalism. I feel I should say that the number of edits I have done doesn't reflect the actual number of times I've been on hand to revert vandalism, it is just that so often I have been pipped to the post by Cluebot or someone with Rollback! :) Thanks for consideration. ] (]) 15:00, 25 January 2015 (UTC) :My second request here for this tool after having recently been declined . Rollback

(add requestview requests)
Please familiarize yourself with Help:Reverting and Misplaced Pages:Rollback before making a request.Misuse of the feature, even if unintentional or in good faith, may give cause for it to be removed.
To make a request, please follow the instructions below:

NOTE: It is unlikely that users with fewer than 200 mainspace edits will be granted the use of this tool. Please consider enrolling at the Misplaced Pages:Counter-Vandalism Unit/Academy to learn more about handling vandalism.

  1. Fill in the form below, replacing "Reason for requesting rollback rights" with a brief reason for requesting the right. Do not make any other changes. Do not sign the request – your signature will be added automatically.
    1. If you do not see the form, go back to the page, and click "add request".
  2. Please wait for your request to be approved or denied, checking back periodically so you can respond to any queries.
  3. If you would like to withdraw your request, use the {{withdrawn}} template with ::{{withdrawn}} ~~~~
Requests that do not meet the above criteria will be delayed or removed.

Sorry, please be aware that unregistered users cannot be granted permissions due to technical restrictions. Please create an account in order to request user account permissions.

Administrator notation templates
This template should always be substituted (i.e., use {{subst:Misplaced Pages:Requests for permissions/Rollback}}).

This template is used to answer requests for permissions, especially the rollback user right.

::{{subst:RFPR|option}} ~~~~

The second (unnamed) parameter is optional. It can be omitted or used to specify the admin when marking a request as already done or the number of edits when declining due to inexperience.

User:Clubjustin4

Hello admins, I'd like to use rollback.I do RC patrol, such as reverting blanked pages, though User:CluebotNG beats me to it sometimes. I only screwed up one time due to an edit conflict.Clubjustin3 (talk) 23:40, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
@Clubjustin4: Please explain these two reverts: Special:Diff/643502087 and Special:Diff/643160992. Also, I notice that you often don't warn users when reverting them. Why not? Jackmcbarn (talk) 02:45, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Oh, those random reverts were my classmate, I went to the washroom, and It was opened to RC, thus he started to play with rollback on my account. About the warning part, I didn't know until before I started this request for rollback. Will start warning from next revert.Clubjustin3 (talk) 09:02, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Dang, revert, not rollback.Clubjustin3 (talk) 09:24, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. With only 34 edits to the mainspace, I don't think you have sufficient editing experience yet. Take a moment to check out what counter-vandalism is at WP:CVU and when you have made 200 or so edits to articles you may wish to enroll at the Counter Vandalism Academy to learn more. Also, please see WP:LITTLEBROTHER. Consider logging out when leaving your computer. Accounts deemed compromised are blocked indefinitely. — MusikAnimal 18:27, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

User:StewdioMACK

I'd like this right for future vandalism incidents I have to correct. There was recently an incident on Paul Blart: Mall Cop where multiple users vandalised the article in a short space of time. I found myself powerless to fight the edits, which were numerous and done mostly by one IP. I had to wait for someone with the right to come rollback the edits, and that inspired me to come here and attempt to get this right for future use. I already have the reviewer right, and I have over 700 edits. StewdioMACK (talk) 13:37, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment) Powerless? How come? Try Twinkle or using undo? Or manually reverting to a version? Cheers, --L235 (talk) Ping when replying 18:01, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Twinkle can only rollback one user's edits, in my experience, which is useless against multiple editors, as I mentioned. And undo only reverts one edit at a time. Perhaps I phrased that poorly. I wasn't "powerless", but the rollback right WOULD have simplified this dilemma. But thanks, Lixxx235. StewdioMACK (talk) 06:38, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
@StewdioMACK: I'm afraid rollback only allows you to rollback one user's edits, so don't get your hopes too high ;) In the meantime, you can use old-school revert (select an old revision, "edit" and save) or you can use Twinkle's "revert to this version" feature. Best of luck. Cheers, --L235 (talk) Ping when replying 05:58, 24 January 2015 (UTC)

User:DaltonCastle

Hello all, I am requesting rights to Rollback. It is a useful tool to have for any experienced editor I believe. I have dealt with some vandalism in the past, although I would like to do more in the future. DaltonCastle (talk) 18:27, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Would really like to move up to STiki and to help fight more vandalism. I have experience of doing RC patrol. TheMagikCow (talk) 12:59, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
