Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo Junior, known in the showbiz as “EPIZODE” aka “Dj Baddy” hails from Accra – Ghana (from Otublohum tribe). Episode is by far Ghana’s rising talent at the moment. His genre of music is a melodious mixture of Reggae, Dancehall, Hiplife,Hip Hop and other genres like Zouk infused with varied Caribbean genres; boxed in one, Episode is a versatile artiste. His unique style and diverse melodies are visible traits that prove the density of his persona as an artiste. He is officially signed to Global One Records while he (Epizode) himself has his promo clique called “OnTrack Team”. His diminutive stature would be a thing many people underrates but climbing the stage means a goliath moment for him, and the records are there to prove it. As said in an interview with Mr. Logic (Rudebuoy Sterling in an interview “they call me Zachaeus but inna him is a Goliath”… Others say he is so cool like a Church boy but he is a Mad Rat when he steps on stage. His unpredictable stage works is a true reflection of a musical legend that is destined to climb to the top of world music.

Epizode started his career from his early ages at home with his family, even before he was a teenager. His mum & twin sister were much into indigenous African Music (Jenny & Gladys Laryea of Kalifi Dance Ensemble based in Germany). His parents being great fan of Reggae music however was no doubt that they love they trend of music Episode got catapulted into. Aside music, Epizode is a professional sculpture (he does paintings of varied continental appeal, portraits, graffitti etc). Accompanying it too is a cloth line on the side kept by Epizode known as “Ekurasi Vibez Muv-Mentz”. His mastery in the arts has proven the visible graffiti works and backdrops for music videos for Edem’s (Heybaa video), Bradez (Sika), Bisa Kdei (Over video), Wonder Boy ft. Sarkodie video, D.Cryme video and couple of upcoming videos.

Recently the artist has projects coming up with International acts Nyanda (Brick & Lace), Ginjah Fraser, Tenza, Tony Anthony, Nadera and few others. The young artist has had the opportunity to work with many top artist like Tinny, Edem, Blaq Forina, I-Wan, Guru, Banda (Shatta Wale), Kombolo, stonebwoy, patan, Grey (Mobile Boys), Obinini, Okra, Olodo, Jay & Myke Yoni , Ruby (Mentor Fame), A.J Nelson, 123, Five5, S.K Blinx, 989 Compilation by Dr. Spooky, he did couple of tune with artist like Jimmy Blakk , Blaka & de BlakVibez and others. Internationally he has worked with artist like Olodo & emeka (Nigeria), Queen Tasha (Canada), Nutty n Eittan (Gambia). Epizode by far has worked with most of the leading producers across Ghana and International. And he looks forward to work with many more international faces. It’s very amazing that most underground artist will love to do a joint with D.j Baddy. He has also had de privilege to perform alongside superstars like Popcaan, Jah Vinchi, Busy Signal, Papa Yankson, Ambuley, Samini, Tinny, Fresh P (London), Racheal, Messiah, Ohia Beyeya Band, Sonnie Badu, Kojo Antwi, Patch Bay Band, BIB Band, Mensah, Manifest, Ben Brakoe, Efya & many more.

With 4Bent Dance Crew (Malta Guinness Street Dance Fame) behind him on stage as they do their African Military performance, everybody’s rate is above GRAMMY Awards. Together with them, they were awarded Hi-School Entertainers of the year 2011. Formally of Blakk Empire Crew which consists of Jupitar, Chameleon & others like Galaxy King and LastCoin until he became a solo artist, the future king has kept his game well tight and convincing. He later worked with 21st Bad People Entertainmentz. He was a nominated as a contestant for the 2011′s edition of “Gh Dancehall KIng & Queen” event. He had another name added to his “KNOCKOUT KING”, after he was crowned de winner after just 1st round out of 4 rounds, which he was giving a Giant MotoBike. In 2013 the first edition of the reggae dancehall Awards (BASS AWARDS) held in Accra Ghana, Epizode happens to be nominated as “Discovery Of The Year” alongside acts like Kaakie, Jupitar, Natural Face, Luther and others. Episode always put up amazing performance example is Bass Awards Nominee’s Jam 2013 at the Accra Sports Stadium was rated above all as the best choreographed performance. His came on the Joy Fm Annual Old Skuul Reunion 2013 also found him winning more fans who participated in the event.

In 2014 he got nominated in the “Unsung” category of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

He released his second hit single “Avatar” ft Rudebwoy in 2014 and earned two nominations in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (New Artist of the year and Reggae dancehall artist of the year). He parted ways with Global Entertainment and formed the Ontrack Team consisting of a trusted few on which the brand was managed.

He got nominated for the discovery of the year and the reggae dancehall video of the year at the 4syte Video awards. He won his first international award when he was crowned Africa's most promising act at the African Youth Choice Awards 2015 held in Nigeria. He won the reggae dancehall video of the year at the BASS awards 2015 with the “Avatar” video. He was nominated in reggae dancehall artist of the year category of the 2016 edition of the VGMAs.

He got signed on to the Gbevu Music Group, a UK based record label and released his first album, titled “Spar Junkez”.

He has pledge to make his motherland GH proud. Epizode represents the future of African Music and will continue to be the best king to raise the African Music flag high above the shores of Ghana. Awards
