:Feel free to include the lawyer's version. But VinceB deleted the conclusion of the official investigation and the facts about the investigation. I doubt any govenrment of a EU member state would create a fake investigation in such a sensitive situation. That would mean immediate isolation of the country. Reason for tag

For example, you changed "attacks" to "incidents", which is an obvious weasel word (or whatever you like to call it). I've added {{POV-check}} for now. —Khoikhoi 20:26, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Graffity and verbal insults are no "attacks" (attack is war terminology), incident is a general term and most importantly, if someone reads the text, he can judge for himself how he classifies the events.Juro 21:20, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Graffiti and verbal attacks are classified as hate crime in each civilized country of the world.Árpád 01:06, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
See a doctor.

Just a question at Zello. Do not you find such a newspaper-like text ridiculous for an encyclopaedia? I mean, I could add every day what is new, but that is really ridiculous. Juro 19:09, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

You can put up the {{current}} tag above it as usual in other[REDACTED] articles. Zello 21:27, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

In the wake of recent events (escalation of violence against Hungarians in Slovakia, destruction of cultural property - see the vandalization of the Petőfi statue in Pozsony), I wonder if the title of the article should be "Anti-Hungarian atrocities".Árpád 01:06, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

I will rename the Magyaristion article then correspondigly. I will also add a list of real attrocities (e.g. in southern Slovakia during WWII) there, but there will not be enough space, so I will probably add them to a Anti-Slovak sentiment article. Be patient, you will earn the fruits of what you have started here, but not right now. Juro 16:20, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

Dear Juro!

I think in order to try to remain NPOV first and foremost we should ignore that you're a Slovak and I'm a Hungarian. In that respect I should note that racial slurs as graffitis are a hsate crime in the Republic of Hungary and not an incident hence you get at least 2 years at one year probation... But above all of that as a note to all of us we should even start a difference between attack and incident from both sides, the most remarkable tragedy is the Nanking Massacre which the Jaoanese dare to call an incident because officially the Kwantung Army was not part of the Imperial Japanese Army. In these particular cases Jan Slotá is the Slovak equal of András Hegedűs Jr., the SNS is the equivalent of MIÉP-JOBBIK. Instead of briging up more scum what we could do we should focus on a joint coalition of unbiased nationals becau in my humble opinion it is a shame that if I want to know something from the Carpathian Basin I have to read articles in French English or German even today Shinichi1977 12:35, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

First of all MIÉP is not in Hungarian parliament and will never be there. Second MIÉP never, ever openly abused Romanians, Slovaks or Serbs. Where as our friend Jan does that.Csabap

I restored the "POV-check" tag because this article is far from being neutral. For example, it ignores irredentist statements of Hungarian politicians (such as Viktor Orban) and politicians from SMK (such as Miklos Duray). Many events that may have triggered the anti-Hungarian sentiment are not discussed in the article (for example revisionist demonstrations in Budapest, oppression of the Slovak minority by the SMK-led Komarno municipality, oppression of the Slovak majority by the SMK-led regional assembly of the Nitra Region before the last regional elections, etc. Similarly, this article ignores the historic context of the anti-Hungarian sentiment (it is a reaction of the ethnic groups previously oppressed by Magyarisation). Tankred 19:27, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Nope. All proven by <ref>s. I can give you an online translator if you can't find any, to translate those articles. Anyway, I understand, that you don't want to belive it.

History: Panslavism --> counteraction: "Magyarization" in fact just making the hungarian language and culture the first in place--> counteraction: ethnic nationalism, Slovakization, Benes decrees, Meciar's policies (reorganization of the counties to lower the number of hungarinas under 20% in all of them - so any bilingual staff could be removed --> slovakization again), etc.

Current event: Jan Slota and its national, chauvinist party is in the government (!) --> slovak nationalism arose + "tourist guide case", Fico didn't distanced himself (still doesn't) and the government from Jan Slota's statements (see there) --> counternationalism in hungary --> hungarianbeatings. --> expected EU revision on case. (yet only watching boards were created) + "The Party of European Socialists (with which Smer is affiliated) regards SNS as a party of the racist far-right, and it reacted to news of the coalition by expressing its gravest concern. The PES is now likely to suspend Smer's membership indefinitely." (from the article Smer), etc.

I'll wrote it in later, as you see "history" is a section stub. --VinceB 19:50, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

August 25

I removed the incident from August 25 because it did not happen. The police investigation proved that the attack on a Hungarian university student was staged - in reality, the student was not attacked by anyone, she did not make any phone call (she claimed that she was attaced after speaking in Hungarian in a cell phone) and nationalistic slogan on her t-shirt was written by her hand.

The lawyer of the girl refused Fico's statement and a gave a new version of the story. Zello 20:06, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Feel free to include the lawyer's version. But VinceB deleted the conclusion of the official investigation and the facts about the investigation. I doubt any govenrment of a EU member state would create a fake investigation in such a sensitive situation. That would mean immediate isolation of the country. This is not "Fico's version", but the official police version. Tankred 23:09, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
