In the ] '']'' by ], a parody of a popular rebellion, the animals of ''Manor Farm'' succeed in turning the farm owner, Mr Jones, out of the farm. Mr Jones returns with several helpers but they are driven off by the Animals, under the leadership of ''Snowball'', the clever and intelligent pig. The animals take control of the farm, renaming it ''Animal Farm'' and setting it up as a form of animal cooperative. The driving out of Mr. Jones becaomes known as ''The Battle of the Cowshed'' in the animal's history of their new venture. |
