The hoax was reported in ]. The source of the hoax was uncovered by ], who used an ] to track down Mr. Chase. Chase said he had done it as a joke to amuse a colleague when they found out anyone could edit Misplaced Pages.{{ref|NYTSeigenthaler}} Subsequently Daniel Brandt has tried to get the Misplaced Pages article about himself deleted from Misplaced Pages. |
