• Support: Even without examples of dealing with protected templates since losing adminship, I would be supportive of this request. While there will be a lot of criticism, I think overall the editor will be a net positive to the user group. Alex Shih 22:46, 16 October 2017 (UTC)

My concern is that the general community guidelines call for candidates to not have recent behavioral issues and #4 above belies that. — xaosflux 23:07, 16 October 2017 (UTC)

Number 4 is a rather large sticking point for me as well. While I do support the application in general, there's just not enough evidence post-block/desysop to demonstrate the need, as well as demonstrating that the concerns leading to said restrictions have been mitigated. (Non-administrator comment) While I personally think that ArbCom was a bit harsh with Magioladitis, I have a hard time seeing how he could be granted this user right in good faith less than 6 weeks after ArbCom said that they showed "consistent poor judgement and failure to follow Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines". 6 months, maybe, but not 6 weeks. --Ahecht (TALK

I'd like to be able to edit the Library resources templates that I created some years ago, and continue to support, but apparently cannot directly edit now. (They're linked at https://en.wikipedia.org/User:JohnMarkOckerbloom) I might also want to edit some other templates for related functionality.

(A recent TfD discussion remarked that the services could use some updating. I haven't made 1000 edits to date, but I've been here for a while, have been maintaining the service for a while, and generally don't tend to mess up the place.) JohnMarkOckerbloom (talk) 19:28, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
