It was believed to have remained intact until the South Tower ] at 9:59 am. 14 people were able to escape the floors located at the impact zone (including ], who saw the plane coming at him), and 4 people from the floors above the impact zone. Numerous police hotline operators who received calls from individuals inside the South Tower were not well informed of the situation as it rapidly unfolded in the South Tower.
