Hi OberRanks!
|style="color:#000"|

* ] • ]
Sorry to pester you, I see you added content to the Golden Party Badge article. I'm having some trouble with one editor about what is allowed to be added and what isn't, regarding linking to an existing stand-alone article. I'm not asking for you to take sides, I'm trying to get some guidance here. I added to the content of the article by creating an Awards and Decorations section. I then added some awards and decorations and provided links to their own stand-alone pages on wiki. One editor in particular has now decided that some of them are "trivial" and I, and presumably anyone, is not allowed to refer to these stand-alone articles. This includes the Golden Party Badge and the Blood Order. I have had several sections of added content on the Röhm page, and others, deleted because of this so-called trivial/menial business, yet when I've asked for a hard and fast list of all the articles I'm not allowed to refer to via links, I've not been given one. I'm not sure why a stand-alone article exists if you're not allowed to link to it? What do you think I should do here? Just never refer to an existing article via a link or persevere and hope for the best. As it stands now I just add links and wait and see if they are deleted under this new totally ambiguous decision by this editor, and then wait for the inevitable aggressive warning. Not sure what to do! Could use your input on the Röhm talk page re this in general and the Golden Party Badge in particular. Sorry for bothering you mate ] (]) 03:05, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

:This a long running battle and, sadly, those of us who wish to include all Nazi awards in articles have been giving ground for about five years now. I answered on the talk page about using service record articles, which is at least a type of compromise, although even those types of articles may come under attack. I have actually given up this fight, and have taken my ranks and awards lists now to professional publications out in the real world. -]] 03:12, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

You seem to have gotten it backwards. *Your* reverts to General of the Armies, which erase all of the material *I* added, is bordering on breaking the policy of Misplaced Pages:Ownership of articles not to mention that that sort of behavior is generally considered rude. *I* encourage *you* to discuss exactly what *you* have a problem with on the talk page before simply removing all edits not *your* own. - ] 00:00, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
:No, I don't think so. I removed one paragraph about "some people have said" and "it has specualted that". I touched nothing else. You, on the other hand, removed totally new material that was sourced and deleted a picture that was added to the article, also sourced. Believe it or not, I am actually trying to keep you out of trouble. The admins on this site usually go with the person who has policy on their side and block people who go against it. To compromise though, you can put back in the opening paragraph about "some people have said" and we can discuss. Hi, if there are any images on[REDACTED] that either you or someone else uploaded under either a free license such as: PD, GFDL, CC-BY-SA, CC-BY, you can transfer them over to the commons, and they will still work just the same on wikipedia. One advantage is that on the commons border line images do not get deleted so easily, the deletion process takes weeks even months, just remember to add the images to your watchlist on the commons. If you would like do transfer images to the commons but don't know how I can explain. Obviously if some images are blatant copyright violations they will be speedily deleted from the commons too, and you shouldn't transfer them if you have doubts as to the veracity of the copyright tag. ] 14:03, 16 October 2007 (UTC)

Trivial awards

Hi OberRanks!

Sorry for bothering you mate Troy von Tempest (talk) 03:05, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

This a long running battle and, sadly, those of us who wish to include all Nazi awards in articles have been giving ground for about five years now. I answered on the talk page about using service record articles, which is at least a type of compromise, although even those types of articles may come under attack. I have actually given up this fight, and have taken my ranks and awards lists now to professional publications out in the real world. -O.R. 03:12, 16 July 2018 (UTC)

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

The person who operates this account in real life suffered some type of serious family loss last year and I believe he also had a mild heart attack. It is doubtful he has seen any of this. I can't speak to what he did on this website, but I would hope people do not wish him ill in real life. I just thought people should know. /Dee — Preceding unsigned comment added by 100.36.37.43 (talk) 16:01, 27 January 2019 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Befehlsleiter

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Befehlsleiter. First, thank you for your contribution; Misplaced Pages relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Ranks and insignia of the Nazi Party. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Misplaced Pages. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Ranks and insignia of the Nazi Party. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Misplaced Pages looks forward to your future contributions. Bakertheacre /What I Baked 16:44, 19 July 2020 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:BryanStanyonRadio60s.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:BryanStanyonRadio60s.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Misplaced Pages. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:12, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

Kup

Proposed deletion of Kup (military rank)

Notice

The article Kup (military rank) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This military range is dubious. It has been unreferenced since March 2009. I was unable to find any references/citations about the rank in a search. It also is not linked or even mention on North Korean military rank so propose deletion

While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
