Central Catholic was established in ]. The first year of its existence had only a freshmen class, with each subsequent year adding a new class until its first graduating class of Seniors in 1970. From its inception the school has maintained a high academic standard with many of its graduates attending and attaining college degrees. The school is also well known for its football program and basketball program who recorded a record of 38-1 in league between the years 1999-2003.
