Yes, I see what you mean. There are some minor mistakes in articles when it come to italics, but it's not much of a big deal really. You could fix them to help improve the article. Many editors view italics differently though, and tend to question the other editor's way of implementing italics in an article. Usual, many editors tend to ignore the issue because it's tough to determine how to use italics. It's best to ignore the issue until after an article has been rated for being good or a featured article on Misplaced Pages, then you can deal with italics. I highly recommend getting another editor who knows how to determine italics or deals with grammar editing frequently. Personally, I don't really deal with italics because italics can be confusing for me. I only deal with minor edits such as double spaces or just basic typos. -- ]]11:31, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

Italics

-- ♣Jerm♣729 11:31, 24 February 2014 (UTC)

  • Thanks, Jerm. Though WP:MOST seems clear on the issue (viz., no italics or quotation marks for “scriptures of large, well-known religions”), you’re probably right. Let the inconsistent use of italics lie for now.
