But if you agree with me that the edits they are making to this article are inappropriate and in violation of ] and ], it would be a great help if you could express that on the Talk page. I am reaching out to say "hello". I noticed some of your thoughtful remarks about the Bradley/Chelsea Manning controversy. I admit that I need to learn more about these issues. I am a 61 year old straight married male with two young adult sons. So, call me "cisgendered" if that is accurate, although to me, that seems like a box I didn't choose. Way back in 1969, when I was 17, I traveled from Detroit, my home town, to New York's East Village, to smoke marijuana and see the wider world. There, I met a young transgendered person, who spoke frankly about their pain and challenges. I was neither offended nor repelled. I felt only compassion for the pain they expressed, and a hope that they would find peace. Every time since then, when I have been confronted with LGBT issues, I have been proud when I spoke up for social justice and acceptance, and shame on those past occasions when I chose expedient silence. I am not a perfect person, but feel great compassion for those of us who suffer from the very sharp edges of conventional thinking. Please forgive me if I have expressed myself too boldly. ] ] 05:48, 24 August 2013 (UTC) I am reaching out to say "hello". :Thanks for reaching out, Cullen. It's always nice to know there are people here who want to be welcoming to Misplaced Pages's trans editors. I'm also happy that you recognize that trans folks are oppressed in our society. And it is, in fact, very important that cisgender people like yourself do speak up and express a belief in justice for trans folks (and just FYI, the standard spelling is "cisgender" and "transgender," not "cisgendered" and "transgendered.") Anyway, cheers, and I look forward to collaborating with you on Misplaced Pages in the future! ] (]) 06:56, 24 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi Picture. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Misplaced Pages, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See ''']''' for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Misplaced Pages and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Misplaced Pages pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. Nomination of Cathy Brennan for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Cathy Brennan is suitable for inclusion in Misplaced Pages according to Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/Cathy Brennan until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. §FreeRangeFrog 00:04, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

Cathy Brennan

If you wish to have this article deleted without waiting for the AFD process to run its course, you can replace the article's contents with {{db-g7}} (i.e., delete all the text and just leave that template there). This will tell administrators that you, as the creator and primary contributor of the article, are requesting deletion in good faith. Quite honestly, after seeing that you identify as transgender and looking through the material on this person, your creation of her bio serves only to make her more notable, which is probably not the effect your were going for. Anyway, it's up to you. Let me know if you have any questions. §FreeRangeFrog 05:08, 21 December 2012 (UTC)

April 2013

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gynandromorphophilia. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Misplaced Pages's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Sædon 20:20, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Wiki Loves Pride 2014

Hi Picture. In case you are not aware, there is an upcoming campaign to improve coverage of LGBT-related topics on Misplaced Pages, culminating with an international edit-a-thon on June 21. See Wiki Loves Pride 2014 for more information. If you are interested, you might consider creating a page for a major city (or cities!) near you, with a list of LGBT-related articles that need to be created or improved. This would be a tremendous help to Misplaced Pages and coverage of LGBT culture and history. Thanks for your consideration, and please let me know if you have any questions! --Another Believer (Talk) 18:26, 13 May 2014 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Redirects for discussion/Log/2014 August 31#Gender dysphoria

Following discussions on Talk:Gender identity disorder on September 2013 and July-August 2014, I have proposed creating a disambiguation page at Gender dysphoria to distinguish between the subjective experience of bodily incongruence and the DSM-5 medical diagnosis also known as "gender identity disorder" (c.f. the distinction between our articles on Depression (mood) and Major depressive disorder). You are invited to join the discussion here. --April Arcus (talk) 04:26, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
