Hello, I was temporarily granted rollback permissions to see how I do, and they are due to expire on the 27th. I believe I have been diligent and careful with this permission, and I only use it when necessary. I always warn users and I create discussions on article talk pages where necessary. ] 14:43, 21 January 2025 (UTC)
:I withdraw my request for Rollbacker rights. The Reviewer rights recently granted to me appear to have solved the problem I was having with Real Time Changes. I may request Rollbacker rights in the future if I believe it would help my work to be able to add Huggle. Right now, I can get along without it. I also note that sometimes Rollbacker rights are withheld for at least a short period of time after Reviewer rights are granted so this would fall in line with that practice. ] (]) 05:25, 7 November 2013 (UTC)

For example, while ] might be vandalism, it could also be based on good-faith belief that the source is unreliable. Similarly, ] doesn't seem to be of obvious vandalism. Going forward, would you include the reason in the edit summary when reverting any edits that don't fall into one of criteria 1–5 at ]? ]&nbsp;] 18:59, 21 January 2025 (UTC)

I’m requesting rollback tool to help with vandalism fighting more effectively. I’ve been active in counter-vandalism work and have a good understanding of policies like ] and ]. While I’ve made mistakes in the past, I’ve taken the feedback onboard, slowed down, and focused on making more accurate judgements.
:I'm a long term editor in good standing (no blocks, no DR losses), with over 15,000 edits. I usually use "undo", have occasionally used the Twinkle "" link, and I always leave meaningful edit summaries for reverts. I think my usage has always been in good faith, so I'd like rollbacker permission so I don't get dinged for using it without permission, to be honest. ] (]) 06:15, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Rollback would allow me to handle clear vandalism more efficiently without cluttering edit histories. I’m committed to using it responsibly and only for obvious cases of vandalism, leaving more complex issues for discussion or reporting.

:I'm ''relatively'' new and have not done much past 200 but I would like to have this feature. So far I have avoided conflict and I realise that the feature is not designed for plain reverting, not even if the editor one suspects to have made errors has made 10 edits on the bounce all of which need reverting. It would be for blatant vandalism only. BTW in the few months I have been here, yes I could have made far more contributions but sadly I don't get the time to be online every day and I only have my computer (no mobile phone which allows full WP editing/digital device which can be carried). @Cmrc23: It looks like you're using generic rollback even on edits that aren't obvious vandalism (where vandalism is defined as being "deliberately intended to obstruct or defeat the project's purpose, which is to create a 💕") or other categories of rollback that don't need an explanatory edit summary. For example, while removing a reference might be vandalism, it could also be based on good-faith belief that the source is unreliable. Similarly, this rollback doesn't seem to be of obvious vandalism.
