You have been blocked from editing for a period of 60 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Widr (talk) 14:51, 29 March 2016 (UTC)

GBIF distribution maps

Hi. You need to be aware that distribution maps in GBIF are not subject to any form of standardized quality control, and contain numerous data points that are erroneous, such as points representing terrestrial species but mapping in the middle of the ocean, or in polar regions. Please do not use GBIF maps as the basis for any edits in Misplaced Pages, they are not reliable sources as defined by Misplaced Pages policy. Thanks. Dyanega (talk) 15:17, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
