The first sentence is hard to follow and could perhaps do with some brackets or something. But if Williams is quoted merely as the source for Glancy's opinion, then we have not been told Williams's opinion, as people often mention opinions they do not agree with in academic writing, meaning that we have been told that Williams reversed his opinion without having been told what that opinion was!

Also, is the ''name ''of the defence lawyer necessary or helpful in that particular place, or does it just add to the difficulty of following the sentence?

== Removed ===Plea bargain controversy=== ==

Hi, I took the liberty to remove the following from the page:

<nowiki>Jamie Cameron, Professor of Law at ], noted that "at the time of the Homolka trial, three features of the case worried and concerned the public. Little was known about the respective roles Homolka and Bernardo played in their actions and the killing of their victims. By spring, 1993, it was clear that the Crown's case against Bernardo depended on Homolka's evidence. In simple terms, to secure a conviction against him, her story had to be believed. Yet on no view of the facts then known could she be exculpated; by casting her as a victim of his predatory behaviour, her responsibility for the crimes that were committed could be diminished and her credibility as a witness preserved."<ref>{{cite web |url=http://www.justice.gc.ca/en/ps/rs/rep/2003/rr03vic-1/rr03vic-1.pdf |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20110706181713/http://www.justice.gc.ca/en/ps/rs/rep/2003/rr03vic-1/rr03vic-1.pdf |dead-url=yes |archive-date=July 6, 2011 |title=Microsoft Word – Word_rr_English.doc |publisher=Justice.gc.ca |date=November 14, 2007 |accessdate=February 13, 2011 }}</ref>
</nowiki>

The reason being that the link is dead and therefore none of this is in the citation.
Until a citation is provided I think you will agree that this shouldn't be here given that the article is the biography of a living person.

If this was a mistake please feel free to undo the change.
Thank you for your time.

== Cleanup 2019 ==

I've endeavored to clean up the portion of this article that chronicles Homolka's time in prison, though it could use some further attention. The timeline should now be mostly sensible, and I've tried to remove the various analysis that was previously dispersed throughout this section into a new section, "Psychoanalysis". I've also entirely removed some "analysis" which was sourced from an opinion columnist who does not appear to have any relevant expertise, which I don't think is appropriate here under BLP. I suspect some other content of this type remains but I haven't the time to look further into it. ] (]) 07:58, 1 December 2019 (UTC)

I couldn't work out who said what...

From Psychiatric evaluation:

//Graham Glancy, a forensic psychiatrist hired by Bernardo's chief defence lawyer, John Rosen, had offered an alternative theory to explain Homolka's behaviour, noted Williams in Invisible Darkness, his first book on the case.

Also, is the name of the defence lawyer necessary or helpful in that particular place, or does it just add to the difficulty of following the sentence?

I was too confused to try to sort this out! FloweringOctopus (talk) 11:22, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
