1Z Entertainment was founded in June 2023 by SB19, a P-pop group known worldwide for their music and performances. The group—John Paulo Nase, Stellvester Ajero, Felip Jhon Suson, Josh Cullen Santos, and Justin de Dios—created the agency to support Filipino artists and help grow the Philippine entertainment industry.

The name “1Z,” meaning "One Zone," reflects their goal of building a united and supportive community for artists. Inspired by their own success, SB19 envisioned the agency as a way to discover and develop new talent.
