Hi, after making some contributions to the movies section I decided to set up an account; unfortunately i chose a username that is the same as a movie which deserves its own wiki, separate from mine. (I did not know then that users have wikis created about them). Is there some way to change my username? I have checked the FAQ, but I don't wish to redirect a request; I'd like to separate the entries. It would seem that that is something I can not do. Currently my username is koyaanisqatsi--any appendage of numbers or letters would be sufficient to distinguish it from the film. Apologies for the confusion. | |||

The best place to learn about who am I is at my website www.jimmywales.com.
You can also see some still stuff about me at the Bomis Wiki.

Hi, I'm cdani. I reviewed catalan.w... and it seems good.
I'm searching people to contribute in Catalan.
Do you want I do a homepage for catalan like English homepage? If you want, no problem. Also translate something other to Catalan? Just indicate.
Yes, I imagine that could become a translation of the existing Misplaced Pages site, in parts, and also specialized to the needs and interests of Catalan-speakers.
hey Jimbo, have you got anything to do with the Wales family from druglady.com?? It has the same IP adress as wikipedia... -
WojPob
Yes. That's my mom and dad's pharmacy. I made a website for her. It's on the same machine as wikipedia. That will probably change soon, as we are rearranging things.
I have many websites.
Gee that rings a bell....
Thanks for your feedback; I'll take care - Mathijs
Couple of related questions (pure curiosity).
Has someone ever left money in the bomis tipjar?
(People have tried but we never bothered to finish setting it up. It is more of a joke than an attempt at making money.)
I know you are aware of the Amazon patent bussiness, don't you plan to take away the tipjar (operated by Amazon) as part of the boicot against them?
And an unrelated request: would you like to set up castellano.wikipedia.com? alternatives names could be es.wikipedia.com and espanol.wikipedia.com
There is also a request of a swedish[REDACTED] on International Misplaced Pages
Yes, thats me! I am a enthusiastic pro-Swedish world citizen that try to promote Swedish wherever I go. ;-)
I saw that you had added the DNS entries but not the database (or whatever it is) below. LinusTolke----
Thank you Jimmy, for restoring my page. I was really beginning to blow there. RoseParks----
I made that page of alternative approaches to interacting with the disabled, because I was accused of writing a biased entry that did not include other approaches, and that was merely my personal opinion. As you see, even on the internet there are similar guidelines and this info is really mainstream, that is, fairly widely accepted...not my personal opinion. I would guess these pages you found are not from this year either.
On the other hand the alternative approaches does kind of serve a purpose. For every guideline there is more or less a guideline advocating the opposite approach. The results are pretty ludicrous and even funny in a way to me. Perhaps they should be added as a separate page to the main guidelines, or rephrased or introduced differently. What do you think? As you know this material has a personal meaning to me, I would not have posted that entry if I thought it was opinion.
My other problem is that there is a so-called "Bill of Rights" for the disabled that was
developed by the disability community. The original draft was drawn by The American Coalition for People with Disabilities (ACCD) and has been endorsed by many groups of disabled people. It actually is not a particularly radical statement and most of the rights seem almost obvious. I do know whether this belongs on[REDACTED] at all. And if so, is it commentary?
RoseParks
Well, my thinking is that the Misplaced Pages obviously can't endorse this bill of rights, but I don't see any reason why we can't report on it.
