Mayfair Middle/High School is located on 6000 North Woodruff Avenue, Lakewood, California, United States, as part of the Bellflower Unified School District (BUSD). The high school (grades nine–twelve) was founded in 1958, and the middle school (grades seven and eight) was added in 1982. Mayfair is a combination middle school and high school, having students from grades seven through twelve.
As of 2004, Mayfair has 112 regular educations teachers and 142 classrooms serving 3,500 students from the communities of Lakewood, Bellflower, and Cerritos. Average class size is 32.1 students.
Mayfair was recognized as a California Distinguished School, the highest award a California high school can obtain. In 2001, Mayfair received the Golden Bell award from the California School Board Association for their Academy of Animation and Digital Art Program.
