The membership badge of the Asociación Nacional de Scouts de Panamá incorporates elements of the flag of Panama, superimposed with a bust of the Spanish explorer/conquistador Vasco Núñez de Balboa.

Panama has 1,660 Scouts served by the Asociación Nacional de Scouts de Panamá, which was founded in 1924 and accepted into the World Organization of the Scout Movement that same year. Recognition was withdrawn in 1936. Panama regained its WOSM membership in 1950. Panamanian Scouting is coeducational, serving both boys and girls.

Scouts are involved in community service projects in an effort to make the world in which its members live a better one. Service to the community includes disaster relief, conservation of natural resources and collecting toys and games for poor children.
