| Cupcake Brown got the wrong first name because a nurse misunderstood her mother's post-delivery request. She remembers a happy childhood until she was 11. Her mother got choked to death during a seizure which was when Cupcake was 11. She was placed in many foster homes and in the foster homes, she got abused physically and sexually. She ran away and was selling her body so that she could survive. She joined a gang at age 12. Two days before she turned 15, she got shot in a drive-by. The doctors told her that she might not be able to walk again. Three weeks after that, she decided to quit being a gang member. In the same year, she left the foster care system for good declared legally emancipated. Now, she is a lawyer and gets $125,000 dollars a year. She wrote an autobiography called ]. | |||
