You likely didn't know this, but editors can mostly delete whatever they please from their own talk pages (see Misplaced Pages:User#Removal_of_comments.2C_warnings and Misplaced Pages:Don't_restore_removed_comments). Edit Warring

You are blatantly edit warring on Haaretz. Putting 19 references on 3 words in an infobox and dangling 3RR over their heads is both pointy and disruptive. We operate on consensus at Misplaced Pages. You are not going to get what you want by accusing people of breaking the rules and then haranguing them when they do not agree with you. Further pointy editing will lead to blocking. --Smashville 20:11, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

There is a clear problem on Haaretz (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) which includes more than one editor. I'd suggest a quick glance at the bigger picture will show a small clique who seem to be rejecting reliable sources (I've yet to understand why) - which would certainly make the addition of extra references to support the text understandable.
Oren.tal, I would suggest avoiding direct "personal" conflicts and finding more external observation in such instances though.
