Lieutenant-Colonel Vladimir Glebov was a Russian military officer who participated in the First Chechen War. Glebov was declared a suspected criminal by the Military Prosecutor's Office for "murdering civilians with special cruelty." According to the Jamestown Foundation, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported that Glebov was also conferred with the status of Hero of the Russian Federation
