County Dublin

South County Dublin is a former parliamentary constituency in the Republic of Ireland which from 1969–1981 returned three deputies (Teachtaí Dála, commonly known in English as TDs) to Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish parliament or Oireachtas. Elections were held using the Single Transferable Vote method of proportional representation (PR–STV).

History

The constituency was created by the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1969, and abolished by the Electoral (Amendment) Act 1980.
