Alan Jackson is an American country music artist. The first artist signed to Arista Nashville Records, he has been signed to them since 1989. He has released fourteen studio albums, two Christmas albums, seven compilations, and a tribute album for the label, as well as fifty-eight singles. His first two greatest hits albums (1995's The Greatest Hits Collection and 2003's Greatest Hits Volume II) as well as his 1992 studio album A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'bout Love) are all his highest-certified albums, each certified 6× Multi-Platinum by the RIAA for shipping six million copies in the US. All of his other studio albums have been certified gold or higher.
Out of Jackson's fifty-eight singles, fifty-seven (all except "Blue Blooded Woman," his first) have reached Top 40 or higher on the Billboard country singles charts, including twenty-six Number One hits. Of these, two have been listed by Billboard as the Number One song of the year on the Billboard Year-End charts: "Don't Rock the Jukebox" in 1991 and "Chattahoochee" in 1993. His longest-lasting Number One country hit and biggest pop hit is "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere", a duet with Jimmy Buffett, which spent eight non-consecutive weeks at Number One in 2003 and peaked at #17 on the pop charts.
